Title: The Female Supporting Character Ran Off With The Bun
Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 97 -  The warm and soft feeling between his arms… was familiar through time and dimension.

But now, the man in front of her looked haggard and tired. There were unconcealable nervousness and panic in his look. He looked like he had just been through an overnight disaster or warfare. Could someone as strong and powerful as him really have such a fragile side?

Chi Ying wanted to rub to eyes to make sure that she wasn’t just imaging all this.

Lu JingYan held onto her tightly.

His body temperament was even lower than hers. It made her feel cold.

Could she push him away like she did with Cheng Huan?

Could she… also called him a creep angrily?

But the doubt in her mind became thicker and thicker, it was heavy like rain could fall from it.

The pressure made it difficult for her to even breath and she felt a stuffiness in her chest.

If it was just their contact over that one night on top of the several other quick encounters and the faint sense of fondness… she felt that there was no reason for Lu JingYan to be so anxious.

He has always been a very restrained man. They didn’t have a lot of contact with each other and she had been pushing him away from her as much as she could.

More importantly, she was not the female lead in this world.

While she was thinking about all these, she suddenly felt her chest tightened.

She didn’t know which part made her chest tightened but loss and pain flashed through her eyes.

All of a sudden, she wanted to explore why that was.

The wind was blowing strongly and she felt little grits of sand hitting her on her cheeks. They were slightly painful.

By the time she was able to form words, they no longer sounded like chastisement.

“You…” Chi Ying looked up and said mildly. “Are you alright?”

And what Lu JingYan saw was the pair of surprised and perplexed eyes, with a layer of fog over it.

Her long and curly eyelashes fluttered in the wind.

The warm and soft feeling between his arms… was familiar through time and dimension.

Cold sweat was pouring down from him and his heart was pounding and burning inside of his chest.

When he opened his mouth again, his voice was already hoarse.

Lu JingYan said in a deep voice, “No, I am not fine.”

Noticing that he was out of control, he let go of her, turned away unnaturally, then, covering up his mouth with his hand, feigned coughing.

Chi Ying’s heart tightened when she heard the deep and magnetic voice coming down from over her head.

Lu JingYan’s tone was as profound as his eyes. There seemed to be many different emotions hidden inside of it, making them difficult to be deciphered.

When she looked up again, Lu JingYan had already suppressed his roiling emotions. The pair of eyes that, just a minute ago, betrayed his fragileness had, once again, became a quiet and bottomless kind of darkness.

What she had just saw seemed like but an illusion.

Chi Ying took a step sideway and casually straightened out her clothes. She looked at him squarely and asked in a dull voice, “What’s the matter?”

There seemed to be a hint of helplessness in his voice. “I’ve already said it.”

Chi Ying frowned slightly. He was lost?

“That’s not what I was asking,” said Chi Ying.

She didn’t know where to start. There didn’t seem to be a good way to start.

Finally, she grumbled, “Boss Lu, there’s GPS on your cellphone.”

Naturally, she didn’t believe in a word that he said.

The mountains were tall and the signal might be poor, but this was a tourist area so there were many booster cellphone towers around.

He wouldn’t not have signal.

When she was done talking, Lu JingYan quietly pulled out his cellphone from the pocket on his pants.

He clicked on the power button with his slender button –

The screen did not turn on.

She couldn’t help but her eyes lingered over his nicely trimmed and pretty nails for a little bit. The lunula was shallow and faint, almost disappearing.

“Out of battery,” said Lu JingYan lightly, as those he was very innocent.
