Looking outside of the window, dazzling bright lights came pouring in and he felt a pang of dizziness.

She was okay. She was still alive.
There was no better medicine than that for him.
Lu JingYan’s body began to relax. “And good morning to you too.”
Ever since that day, he’d receive a good morning text from Chi Ying every morning.
He knew that starting the second semester of the senior year in college, there were no longer morning practice and the students time was even more flexible. Chi Ying, nevertheless, still got up very earlier. Even earlier than him.

Seeing that Lu JingYan was remaining silent, he leaned over closer to him. “She must have feelings for you now after the two of you had spent the night together.”
The tip of Lu JingYan’s ears turned a little bit red and he interrupted him in a low voice. “Shush.”

After the filming of The Green Sun had ended, Chi Ying started preparing for her graduation defend. She had no more classes or morning practice. She had stopped going to the campus and stayed home to work on her thesis instead.
When she was doing her research, she came across the news that Huanyu Construction had gone bankrupt and that their management was being investigated for corruption.
All of their glory had been tainted overnight with nothing remaining. She couldn't help but lamented.
Then she received a call from Lu JingYan.
The man’s voice was deep and rich as usual but more tender and less cold. “Will you be interested in going to the light show at the park?”
Chi Ying went silent. She had already gone there with Chi Cheng two days ago.
She pulled out the tickets from the drawing. Yesterday was the last day of the show.
“Yes, but I think it ended yesterday.”
“They extended it by a day,” said Lu JingYan.
She accepted his invitation.
After being busy for a few days, Lu JingYan finally signed his name on the very last document.
He cleaned up this desk, stood up, and put on his suit jacket.
Jiang Chong was shocked when he saw that. He triple checked the scheduled and confirmed that there was no meetings lined up and asked dubiously. “Boss Lu, where are you heading to now?”
Lu JingYan smiled slight. “No need to stay late today. You can head out now.”
Jiang Chong even felt a little bit of displeasure when he was told that he didn’t need to stay late that night.
He could already hear his elderlies nagging about him still being single the minute that he walked inside the house.
As much as Lu JingYan had him stayed late normally, he never had a ton of work. They still beat being home having his ears talked off.
When Jiang Chong saw the smile in Lu JingYan’s eyes, he suddenly got it. Lu JingYan probably took his advice and bringing his relationship from online to real life.
He was willing to exchange for Boss Lu’s happiness for life with the temporary suffering of his own.
He felt very altruistic about himself that he gathered up enough courage and asked, “Boss Lu, are you going on a date?”
