As his memories moved forward, there were details that he had forgotten intentionally that were now resurfacing.
When he was 25 years old, with the change of policies, the company had run into some hardship. When the financial report was released, the stockholders were unhappy and their stock prices dropped quite a bit.
After working for the past few years, Jiang MingYuan had gained a bit of a reputation and was named the most capable young executive in recent time.
As the money wasn’t growing, the stand of stockholders who used to support the “elders” started becoming muggy and said that perhaps the Jiang’s Corporation shouldn be run by Jiang MingYuan instead.
The “elders”, their benefits being threatened, naturally would not allow that to happen. Not to mention it was someone whom they had always looked down upon. Out of fear and also out of jealousy, they were going after Jiang MingYuan even more frantically and blatantly.
Jiang MingYuan’s personal life was faced with a lot of difficulties too. Locations that he stayed at a lot were planted with cameras; the brakes in his car would fail; and he’d even run into drunk drivers when he was just a pedestrian on the streets.
He was lucky and didn’t die from an “accident”. Contrarily, he was able to continue growing his own company and was even able to stand up to the Jiang’s Corporation once. He was finally able to collect enough evidence and send a few of the elders’ men to jail.
Jiang MingYuan’s strength was a wake-up call to the elders. The man in front of them was no longer the helpless person that they were able to do with as they pleased. They then switched to a “milder” approach and would voluntarily get close to him and be friendly to him in very many networking events. They invited him to some of the top dogs’ meetings and said that the Jiang’s Corporation would for sure go back to him in the future.
Jiang MingYuan knew they had ulterior motives, but he needed those opportunities, so he never turned down any of the invites.
During every event, other than expanding his own network, there were also all sorts of women.
There was an “understanding” between them and all the women at these events, let them be a private or a public event. Jiang MingYuan would never have a relationship with any of these women, but also wouldn’t exactly turn them down. And that was the beginning of all sorts of scandals about him. One day it was said that he spent the night with someone. The next day it was said that he was in a relationship with some model. And then there were the two actresses who were fighting over him on some social media.
All these crazy scandals wouldn’t affect him any, so Jiang MingYuan never paid them too much attention. Perhaps it was his silence that gave the others the confidence and they had become bolder and bolder.
During one of the events, his drink was drugged.
He was, after all, quite young back then and being prideful made him let his guard down. He had only boundless regrets when he was half forced into a hotel room that night.
He spent the night with a girl and then there was nothing else after that.
He found out later on that they had found an AIDS carrier to “spend” the night with him originally. They even emphasized that the rougher the better, preferably with lesions. The one that they had contracted had a stroke of conscience and finally turned them down the very last minute. The middleman didn’t want to lose out on the money, so he found a different girl to replace her and that’s how he escaped his fate.
Afterward, Jiang MingYuan felt both lucky and scared. He was much more cautious after that incident and never allowed them another opportunity to set him up. A year later, he gained control of the Jiang’s and the “elders”, one by one, were sent to jail for white-collared crime. The chance of them getting out during this lifetime was slim.
He hadn’t let anyone involved in that accident off the hook with the exception of two of them – the woman who bailed the last minute and the women he slept with. Jiang MingYuan had someone look into it and just paid them some money and left it at that.
Jiang MingYuan was very much like his father when it came to s*x. He has had a few girlfriends when he was younger just for the fun of it. After his father passed away when he was 18, he had poured all of his energy into his career. Came to think about it, he had only had a relationship with just that one woman.
The kid in the picture looked to be around 3~4 years old. The timing matched that of his one encounter.
