Ghost Child’s Older Sister - Ch 1 & 2

Title: Showering the Villian With Familial Love: The Ghost Child’s Older Sister
Lightly Edited MTL by Fuyu

Chapter 1 out of 43 - Because Su Yuanyuan came to this world, this body did not die in the classroom (1)

This was a world with ghosts.

The villain of the world, Su Xi, was the first ghost that formed in the world after spiritual energy was cut off, so he became a ghost king. As for Su Yuanyuan's identity in this world, she was his older sister.

In the original story, Su Xi and his older sister were fraternal twins. Their birth originally brought a lot of joy to their family. However, their parents died when they were only one year old, and they went to an orphanage together.

Su Xi was very cute and was also a boy, so he was quickly adopted and separated from his older sister, Su Yuanyuan. In the beginning, Su Xi was doted on by his adoptive parents and had a very good life. However, Su Xi had only been in the family for a year when his adoptive parents gave birth to a child of their own.

After their own child was born, the adoptive parents found Su Xi displeasing. After all, legally, the child had the same inheritance rights as their own child. They felt uncomfortable thinking that all their future property would be inherited by this child.

And so, when Su Xi was five years old, the adoptive parents found an excuse to return the child to the orphanage. The excuse was that the child had stolen something.

In their hearts, it was no big deal to send the child back to the orphanage. Any reason would do.

But this reason sent Su Xi, an orphan, to eternal damnation.

As an orphan, he had no one to love him. His only relative, his older sister, had already been adopted away by the time he was sent back. There was no one close to him left in the orphanage.

He was only five years old and bore the reputation for stealing. The staff at the orphanage looked at him through tinted glasses, and the other children treated him as weirdo. They frequently bullied and insulted him. When people that came to the orphanage to adopt children heard about him, they weren’t willing to adopt him.

Su Xi didn't know anything. He only knew how to tell people over and over again that he didn't steal anything, but no one believed him. In the end, in the midst of the bullying and verbal abuse, he got sick.

The little ball lied under the blanket with no one caring about him. Just like that, he got sick and died. He died on his birthday. At this time, there were still no ghosts in the world. Any soul without a body would dissipate after seven days, but Su Xi happened to die on a yin year, a yin month, a yin day, and a yin hour. It was the same hour as when he was born.

That’s how he became the first ghost in the world.

(T/N: In Chinese metaphysics, years, months, days, and hours are assigned a yang/light or yin/dark attribute.)

As a ghost, he had no memory of his life. He was like a muddled-headed blank piece of paper. He only remembered that he had to tell people that he hadn't stolen anything.

But no one could understand him. No one could see him either. Ten years passed by in this muddle-headed sort of way, and he was confused. During the ten years, he received more and more yin energy, and his ability became greater and greater. Eventually, he could see other souls.

When he discovered that some spirits could touch him and see him, he instinctively hoped that they would not disappear. The powerful yin energy emanating from his body protected these souls, and they became ghosts. So although this world was a world of ghosts, in reality, there were only ghosts in the world where Su Xi was. These ghosts were confined by him to this city, or to put it in another way, this area.

He didn't know whether what he was doing was right or wrong. He only thought of that obsession. He wanted others to believe in him.

Until one day, he saw the boy, the child of his foster parents. He sent all of his ghosts to haunt his foster parents’ child and to tell him that he hadn't stolen anything. Because of this constant pestering, the yin energy in his foster parents’ child was very heavy.

Under those circumstances, it wouldn’t be possible for his foster parents’ child to survive. However, that person was the world’s male lead. Thus, it was destined that he would have a righteous female lead to help him.

The female lead was a fake ghost hunter. Her family was said to be the descendants of Zhong Kui, and they specialized in catching ghosts. Su Xi's adoptive parents were local tycoons, so they hired this supposedly powerful ghost hunter to subdue and wipe out the ghosts.

(T/N: Zhong Kui was a mythological figure that could drive away evil spirits.)

The female lead, Zhong Chu, didn’t have any real skills. But coincidentally, she was born in a yang year, a yang month, a yang day, and a yang hour, which opposed Su Xi’s birth time.

After Su Xi met her, he was revealed in front of everyone.

Chapter 2 out of 43 - Because Su Yuanyuan came to this world, this body did not die in the classroom (2)

The adoptive parents did not recognize the child at first, but one of the family's servants recognized him immediately as the child who had been adopted.

The adoptive parents were immediately furious and rebuked him, “We knew you were a bad boy early on. You like to do bad things. Fortunately, we sent you away. Why are you still pestering our family? We don't like you, so you come to pester our family and harm our child. Why are you so bad? You're a thief! Hurry up. Get out of our home!”

In Su Xi's heart, being falsely called a thief by his adoptive parents was his obsession.

He had always been a blank piece of paper, but at this moment, his foster parents drew many black lines on this blank piece of paper.

He went crazy and became an evil ghost completely. After the Ghost King blackened, the ghosts around him began to blacken.

There were also some of them who died unjustly. Some of them committed suicide after being tortured by school violence, some of them were killed by people, and some of them were killed by people's negative intentions.

After the Ghost King blackened, they also found their own obsessions and went around causing trouble.

The school, as a place with a strong yin energy at night and a strong yang energy during the day, was even more popular with these ghosts.

When Su Xi saw these students, his mind recalled how he had been bullied in the orphanage. When he saw the teachers criticizing the students, he remembered how he had been criticized by the teachers at the orphanage.

Thus, he instinctively wanted to hurt these people.

Every night, the inside of the school was a happy sanctuary for these ghosts.

More and more people died.

Soon the female lead discovered that her own blood was effective against the ghost, and she learned how to draw talismans to subdue the ghosts.

Through her own research, she figured out a way to deal with the ghosts and suppress numerous ghosts at a time.

However, Su Xi could mass produce ghosts. As long as people died, he could turn them into ghosts.

And so, the female lead concentrated on finding a way to deal with Su Xi.

Finally, she found a way to deal with the Ghost King from an ancient book, which was to find Su Xi's bones and then drip his bones with the blood of his sibling. This would attract the Ghost King to her, and then she would use her own blood to draw a formation to temporarily trap him. Inside the formation, she would keep a fire going for a full 49 days. This method would annihilate the Ghost King.

When they found Su Xi's sister, she was already dead, but she had sold her blood before she died. They found her blood, and it became the greatest weapon to destroy her younger brother.

In this world, Su Yuanyuan is Su Xi's older sister. The sister was adopted separately from her brother in childhood, and her fate was not much better than her brother’s.

The original owner did not remember this brother, but only heard about him from an older girl in the orphanage, and that’s all she knew about him. She was also very curious about her brother.

She stayed in the orphanage until she was five years old before she was adopted. She happened to miss the time when Su Xi was sent back to the orphanage.

After she was adopted, she forgot that she had a younger brother and wholeheartedly integrated into her new family. However, her fate wasn’t good. When she was ten years old, her adoptive father could not accept life without having a biological child, so he had an affair and divorced his wife.

The original owner's adoptive mother was good to her, but her adoptive mother still needed someone to rely on, so she remarried soon after. In this new family, the original owner felt excluded. She was an outsider in this family. Gradually, she also felt her adoptive mother's alienation. Finally, her adoptive mother told her that in order to manage her new family well, she had to give her up. They dissolved the adoption.

At that time, she was fifteen years old and chose to not return to the orphanage. Instead, she chose to live on campus.

In order to pay for her own living expenses and tuition, she looked for part-time jobs everywhere. Since she wasn't old enough, she went to work at a shady factory that accepted minors. The first two years were still okay, but in her third year of high school, the pressure on her studies became even greater. Under this double pressure, her body couldn't hold on any longer.

She fell asleep in class and like the little match girl, she had a happy dream. She dreamed of her adoptive parents and the happy times she had as a child. And then she dreamed that she met her biological parents and her younger brother. They were the closest of all and would never be separated again. And then she never woke up again.

Because Su Yuanyuan came to this world, this body did not die in the classroom.

Fuyu’s Note: I’m trying something new. This is lightly edited MTL instead of normal translation. I compared the MTL version with the raw text, fixed parts that were mistranslated, and edited to improve clarity.

This is a short story that’s only 55k in Chinese characters and 14 raw chapters long. I split the raw chapters into parts, and it’ll be done in 43 chapter parts.
