When Sun Manrou returned to the Wen’s with a box of snacks, she was told that Old Mr. Wen was not yet home.

She handed the snacks over to Uncle Zong and asked tentatively, “Grandpa Wen is not home yet? He doesn’t have lunch at home?”

Uncle Zong placed the snacks on top of the table and nodded. “That’s right. Commander usually has lunch at the government-operated restaurant.”

Sun Manrou was very surprised at the answer. “Government-operated restaurant? That’s surprising. If the Commander eats there every day, their food must be exceptional. Which one of the government-operated restaurants is it?”

Uncle Zong, “The one in City Nan that offers malatang. Their food is very good there. But Commander is mainly there to visit Rugui’s girlfriend, not so much for the food.”

He thought of Sun Manrou as his own sister.

He felt awful when he saw her tear-stained face.

Sun Manrou buried her face in her palms and sobbed. “I feel so awful, Third Brother. I feel that I am not a good woman……”

Sun Wuyang was baffled. “What are you talking about. Of course you are a good woman.”

From where he stood, Sun Manrou was talented and kid. She couldn’t even bring herself to step on an ant. How could she be a bad woman?
