The Green Tea’s Crushing Victories - Ch 470

Chapter 470 - Zhou Yan's pitiful screeching sound could be heard coming from inside the room. (2)

Ever since he had parted ways with Tong Xuelu the other day, Fang Wanyuan had been looking into Xiang Peng.

And he was really onto something.

Xiang Peng was 27 years old and had never had a girlfriend in the past.

Welp, that wasn’t exactly true. It seemed that he had two girlfriends in the past, but none of them lasted longer than half a month.

One really couldn’t call them girlfriends for such short periods of time. They were just getting to know each other at best.

The Xiang family had always passed it off as Xiang Peng focusing on work and serving the people and putting his personal life on the back burner.

Fang Wanyuan had heard of that in the past as well. He didn’t think there was anything wrong with that at the time. Now that Tong Xuelu had brought it to his attention, the more he thought about it, the odder it seemed.

He had been looking into the issue for a while now but had yet to be able to gather any evidence of Xiang Peng being gay.

He couldn’t be too obvious in his investigation. If words got out, Xiang Peng could use that against him.

He couldn’t quite prove whether or not Xiang Peng was gay, but he was able to determine whether he had anything to do with Tong Zhenzhen.

Sitting inside the Tong’s living room, Xiang Peng looked at Tong Xuelu and said, “Xiang Peng is the secretary of the Deputy Director of Education. Deputy Director Yung has a cousin who’s a Director at the Finance Department. Director Yan of the Finance Department was the witness of Tong Zhenzhen saving the mother and son.

Tong Xuelu frowned. “Director Yan? How old is he?”

Fang Wanyuan, “Around 35 ~ 36? He’s a capable person but words had it that he is an impetuous one.”

Being able to maintain a cool head is an important quality to hold down an important role. That was also the main reason why Su Yueshen got the role as the Deputy Director of Revolutionary Committee instead of him.

Tong Xuelu had no idea why Tong Zhenzhen would be associated with someone like that all of a sudden.

As Tong Zhenzhen was a rebirther, now that she was associated with someone like that, Tong Xuelu needed to be extra cautious going forward.

Tong Xuelu did not ask Fang Wanyuan to continue to look into it, as the issue was getting too far reached. She figured that her best action right now was not to remain in a holding pattern.

When Fang Wanyuan took off from Tong Xuelu’s house, he did not head home right away. Instead, he went on to wait patiently.

He had gotten a pretty good idea of Xiang Peng’s schedule recently and knew that he would be staying late at work today.

Fang Wanyuan waited for half an hour and saw finally saw Xiang Peng whistling as he walked down the street.

Fang Wanyuan felt taken over by rate all of a sudden.

Fang Jingyuan still got headaches from time to time of late and this scum seemed to be in good spirit!

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. When Xiang Peng got close enough, Fang Wanyuan threw a piece of brick at him.

BAM!

Unprepared, Xiang Peng was hit by the piece of brick on his head and started to bleed instantly.

He was so frightened that he started to shout but Fang Wanyuan was long gone by the passengers had gathered.

Xiang Peng suffered injuries that were more serious than Fang Jingyuan’s and needed to have 10+ stitches.

The doctor said his would was big and would for sure be scarred. In addition, he also had a mild case of concussion.

Xiang Peng had a terrible headache and also vomiting from time to time. He wasn’t able to return to work for a while. The Education Department had him taken some time off to rest at home given his condition and had someone else filled in his secretary position for him.

The Xiang family suspected that the Feng family was the culprit but they had no witnesses or proof. There was nothing that they could do.

Mother and Father Xiang had fallen ill one by one and all three members of the Xiang family were hospitalized.
