Being with the boss for a while, Yan Shuyu had learned a lot about his family. Some were told to her by the boss and some were from the little male lead, the aunty at the boss’s place, Secretary Lu who had been with him for years and, occasionally, even Louis and Robin. The little male lead’s real mother, though, was one who had never showed up in any conversation.

With official wedding banquet like this, the entrée might not be too overly delicate but the all-you-can-eat wine and beverages, cupcakes and fruits all looked very tempting. Yan Shuyu had noticed them a while ago and couldn’t wait to start as soon as her burdens were gone.

Yan Shuyu had, after all, attended many banquets with the boss. She wouldn’t say that she had meant many compatible friends but there were certain a few at the venue that she was familiar with.

As her son wasn’t around, Yan Shuyu said freely and without pressure, “That’s not a problem. We just have to sneak out.”
