As his son didn’t object to that and seemed especially happy, there was not much that Ye Rongchen could do.

Yan Shuyu might be slow but she wasn’t stupid. She finally realized that all the righteous reasons that the boss had thrown out was simply for him to his own son as an excuse so he could barge in himself. He was, after all, the devil who almost drove the male lead insane.

She, however, did not object to that. In fact, she was happy about it. The boss has always been a difficult one to read and she always had to speculate boldly and come to her own conclusion that he was jealous. Truth was, Yan Shuyu wasn’t all that confident about it. She finally was able to have some real evidence this time.

Yan Shuyu was very glad that her son’s real father, who would give his son whatever he wants and didn’t care to take a few days off work to play with him, had resurfaced. Her son could experience all these at the tail end of his children and that, in turn, earned Ye Rongchen very high approval rating with Yan Shuyu.

Approval or not, that did not change the fact that he had disappeared for a few years and resurfaced all of a sudden. Yan Shuyu was not so careless that she would trust him with her child altogether. As such, while she had taken time off for her kid, she had taken time off for herself as well so she could tag along the entire time.

Zhang Yuanjia had always been a sensitive one but, under the Yan Shuyu’s influence, he was ongoing like any other child his age. In addition, he had been told a lot by his mother that his father was tall, big, and outstanding. As such, he looked up to his father a lot in his mind. Now that he was able to meet his father and saw that he was, indeed, as tall, big, and incredible as his other had described, he felt a sense of familiarity with him. He walked up, smiled at him, and said, “Daddy.”

Ye Rongchen couldn’t wait anymore but pulled his little body into his arms. Zhang Yuanjia felt a little awkward at the beginning but he quickly relaxed his body. Perhaps it was the nature of a father and his son, Zhang Yuanjia even reached out his little hand and patted his father on his shoulder.

As the Second Generation Power, Ye Rongchen had his pomp as well. His chauffeur had been waiting outside the entire time and, as such, his car followed the one with the boss and Yan Shuyu in it and arrived at the school at a moderate pace.

Worried about attracting too much attention, Ye Rongchen only waited inside of the car outside of the school instead of getting out of it. Once they had picked the child up, the two cars drove in one behind the other to a restaurant nearby and thus started the “meeting your father” conference inside of a private room with all five of them present.
