The next day, sunlight cast down on the patio, and a light breeze lifted up the light-colored curtain gently. It was quiet and peaceful inside the room.
When Ning Zhi woke up, she saw that Lu Jue had already finished getting ready and was changing.
He was carrying a floral shirt in his hand and was about to change into it.
Ning Zhi quickly got up and walked over to him. She wooed him with a smile. “You are going to the office today. You don’t need to look so handsome.”
Lu Jue looked at her with his pitch-black eyes blankly.
Ning Zhi pulled a red shirt out from his closet. It was made out of smooth, high-quality silk.
Ning Zhi lied through her teeth without so much as blinking her eyes. “Put this one on. You look too handsome in your floral shirts. I worry that others would fall for you at the office and take you away from me. That will break my heart.”
The tip of Lu Jue’s ears was red. His thin eyelids shuddered, and he said in a definitive tone, “No take away me.”
He glanced over at Ning Zhi quickly and said, “Zhizhi’s. No take away.”
He belongs to Zhizhi, and nobody can take him away from her.
Ning Zhi burst out laughing at what he said. Lu Jue was super sweet today.
“Then you put this one on. Leave that one in your hand to wear only at home.” Ning Zhi blinked at him. “So only I can see it.”
Lu Jue’s lips curved up some, and his dimples showed. He nodded and repeated Ning Zhi’s words, “Only Zhizhi can see.”
Ning Zhi felt that it got easier and easier to woo Lu Jue. She couldn't help but pinch him on his cheek and said, “Work hard today. Text me if you need anything.”
She needed to go to school today and couldn’t tag along with Lu Jue to his office.
Lu Jue acknowledged her. “Make money. Support Zhizhi.”
He, too, could support Zhizhi.
What Lu Jue didn’t know was that the dividends that he received every year were more than enough money for Ning Zhi to spend for the rest of her life.

Ning Zhi didn’t know what to make of that. “Alright. I’ll see you tonight then.” She straightened out the collar for Lu Jue.
Lu Jue’s pitch-black eyes looked over at Ning Zhi. He looked for a few seconds before he turned away and then looked again. He looked at her back and forth a few times.
He wouldn’t be able to see Zhizhi for a whole day. He needed to see more of her now.
Lu Jue had worked at his company’s artificial intelligence research laboratory for a period of time before his condition had worsened.
The team was familiar with Lu Jue. Many were happy that Lu Jue would be returning to work for the simple reason that he was quiet and competent. Him being there was like adding a cheat to their work.
“Young Master Lu Jue, we had your office remodeled recently, so we will have to ask you to sit with us for the time being,” said Wei Xing to Lu Jue.
“Mmm.” Lu Jue had a cold expression on his face, and he appeared to be high and mighty when he was not talking.
