Ning Zhi blinked. “That’s very sweet of you. Not very many boyfriends are that sweet.”

Standing next to her, Lu Jue’s hand that was holding onto Ning Zhi’s tightened. Pinching his lips shut, he sort of understood what they were saying but not really. Not really knowing why, all he knew was that he needed to report back to Ning Zhi about his whereabouts when he was traveling.

He made a mental note and added it to his list named ‘ways on how to woo Zhizhi.’

Wei Xing became even more shy after he heard that. “It gives her more sense of security that way.”

Lu Jue listened to the conversation attentively. Right. He had no idea what ‘sense of security’ was, but anything good that someone else has, Zhizhi must have as well. He wanted to provide that for Zhizhi also.

Ning Zhi smiled. “Can you show me a photo of your girlfriend? I am kind of curious what Assistant Wei’s girlfriend looks like.”

Wei Xing was more than happy to talk about his girlfriend with someone else. “Sure.” He quickly opened up his photo album, which was filled with photos of him and his girlfriend.

In the photo was a cute and delicate girl. Ning Zhi’s eyes dimmed a little as she praised her, “She’s very pretty.”
