“Are you free, Sister Zhizhi? I would like to take you out to dinner, if you’re available.” Fang Yuzhou had been wanting to take Ning Zhi out to dinner for a while now but never had the opportunity. 

“You can just call me Xiao Zhi.” Ning Zhi then nodded. “Yeah, we can go.”

Inside the car, Fang Yuzhou sat on one side of Ning Zhi, while Lu Jue sat on the other. Wei Xing sat in the passenger seat. 

“Big Sister Zhizhi……” As soon as she said that, Fang Yuzhou caught herself right away and switched how she addressed Ning Zhi, saying, “Xiao Zhi, how’s your skin so nice?”

Ning Zhi’s skin was truly impeccable. Even looking at her from quite a short distance, one can clearly see that her skin was fair, translucent, and flawless. Not one pore could be seen. She was certainly a subject of people’s envy. 

Fang Yuzhou only wished she could walk up and stroke Ning Zhi on her cheek. At that thought, her eyes landed on Lu Jue, who was sitting beside Ning Zhi. She noticed that he was giving her a gloomy look before turning away. 

He seemed to be unhappy?

Fang Yuzhou had learned from her boyfriend that Lu Jue had autism. She must have been mistaken. There was no way that he would give her a dreary stare. 

“Don’t stay up too late, and drink lots of water,” said Ning Zhi. 

Fang Yuzhou nodded. “Okay, I get it. You were just born this way.”

Ning Zhi smiled. 

Fang Yuzhou became dazed. Wuwuwu, Ning Zhi was too pretty.

She was suddenly envious of Lu Jue who could look at this pretty face day in and day out. What were his thoughts on that? Nevertheless, Lu Jue didn’t think like a normal person. She wondered if he found her as pretty as she did. 

Suddenly, Lu Jue reached his hand out and placed it over Ning Zhi’s. 

“What’s the matter?” Ning Zhi turned to face him and asked. 

Lu Jue pinched his lips shut and said nothing. His fringes, which softly covered his forehead, made him look somewhat pitiful. 

Zhizhi needs to look at him more. 

Ning Zhi’s eyes flickered a little. She then rotated her hand and held his, touching the tips of his fingers with hers. She leaned into his ears and whispered to him, “I didn’t forget about you.”

Lu Jue’s pitch-black eyes became a little bright. Looking at her, a slight smile appeared on his lips. 

The car stopped outside of the mall. 

Fang Yuzhou said there was a newly opened restaurant that served very tasty food, so she suggested that they go there to check it out. 

After they had gotten out of the car, Fang Yuzhou couldn’t wait to walk up next to Wei Xing and put her arm around his. She was very clingy. 

Lu Jue took a quick look and put his arm around Ning Zhi’s the same way that Fang Yuzhou did with Wei Xing. 

Ning Zhi, “……”

She struggled free from Lu Jue’s grasp, and under Lu Jue’s dazed look, she held his arm sweetly. “This is how you do it.”

Lu Jue said nothing. His pretty cherry-blossom eyes became moister and brighter. 

The newly-opened restaurant was located on the fifth floor, and once they arrived, a server brought them over to a spot by the window. 

Wei Xing, a gentleman through and through, pulled the seat out for Fang Yuzhou. “Here.”

Fang Yuzhou smiled sweetly. “You are so sweet.”

Wei Xing stroked her on the top of her head. He looked a little silly, very different from his mature self in the laboratory. 

Next to them, Lu Jue straightened up his back and slowly pulled a chair out. His deep voice sounded cheerful as though he was showing Ning Zhi some sort of treasure. “Have a seat, Zhizhi.”

“Oh, thank you!” Ning Zhi finally realized that Lu Jue was learning. 

He was learning how to be nicer to her through observing Wei Xing and his girlfriend. 

She remembered that he used to ignore all those around him. Now, he had improved to a point where he would observe the others, learn, and intentionally copy their words and actions. 

Across them, Wei Xing handed a moist towel to Fang Yuzhou for her to wipe her hands with. 

Lu Jue was a fast learner. He picked up a towel as well and under Ning Zhi’s surprised gaze, gently wiped her hands for her. 

Lu Jue was very thorough. He wiped Ning Zhi’s fingers one at a time. He was focused on his task and patiently did it without a sound. 

Under the light, he could see Ning Zhi’s fair and slender fingers. Her fingernails were rounded with a healthy glow. Like the rest of her, her hands were beautiful.
