Ning Zhi picked out a light fog blue dress. Her skin was fair, so dressing in color like that made her look even fairer. She looked magical.

The tapering at the waistline made her waist seem slender, and her two legs below the skirt looked long and straight. She was so pretty that nobody could look away from her.

She even put on the emperor green jade bracelet that was given to her by Mother Lu.

The more traditional jade bracelet usually looked better on an elderly person. Nevertheless, since Ning Zhi was fair, almost any color would look good on her. Like the light fog blue dress, the almost translucent bright green bracelet made her wrist look fair.

After she was done changing, Ning Zhi did not apply any makeup. Her skin was already good. The makeup would only hinder her natural beauty.

She did, however, pull out a new color of lipstick and applied it lightly. The lipstick was an orange-reddish color, almost resembling sweet, liquid honey, which made her look very spirited.

At the same time, Lu Jue walked inside the closet. He, too, was already dressed and was about to head out to work.

Ning Zhi smacked her lips together after she had applied the lipstick before looking over at Lu Jue. “Are you heading out?”

Lu Jue nodded docilely. “It’s time.”

He looked at Ning Zhi’s little mouth. They were red and glistening. They were very pretty.

He wanted to kiss her.

Ning Zhi walked over to him. The hem of her dress floated in the air as she walked. It was mesmerizing, like ripples in a quiet lake. She then sweetly told him, “Have a safe trip.”

Lu Jue’s pitch-black eyes looked at Ning Zhi, dazed. He felt that Ning Zhi was particularly pretty today.

“What’s the matter?” asked Ning Zhi with a smile.

Lu Jue’s lips were pinched shut. His beautiful cherry-blossom eyes dimmed.

Ning Zhi saw his Adam’s apple roll up and down. She couldn't help but chuckle. “You want to kiss me?”

Lu Jue nodded honestly. “Want kiss Zhizhi.” His look was too straightforward. There was no disguise.

He had a dream last night. He remembered that Zhizhi disappeared right when he was about to kiss her.

There was a dull feeling in his chest, as though a little beast was crying there. It could only be quelled by kissing Zhizhi.

Ning Zhi’s eyes turned into crescent moons. Her black eyes were limpid. She shook her head. “Not right now. I just put lipstick on.”

Ning Zhi’s reflection was in Lu Jue’s eyes. He looked at her eagerly. “Gone, I put on Zhizhi.”

I can put some on Zhizhi’s lips again after it’s gone.

Lu Jue had been recovering well. He could offer up solutions to problems now.

Ning Zhi was humored by him. She wrapped her arms around Lu Jue’s waist and said, “You have never done that before.”

Lu Jue was super smart now. He responded immediately. “Zhizhi teach me. I learn from Zhizhi.”

Having said that, his large palm had already reached behind Ning Zhi impatiently and brought her toward himself. He was no longer that inexperienced newbie. He would no longer bump into Ning Zhi’s teeth.
