A female server pushed a small cart inside the room and was shocked by all the flowers that made the room look red. This must have cost a lot.

Nevertheless, the room full of flowers still did not measure up to how stunning the girl in red inside the room was.

Her eyes and teeth were bright. Her alabaster skin and her  ink-black hair made a stunning contrast that was hard to look away from.

The female server carefully pushed the cart to where the dining table was. “Sir, Miss, here’s the breakfast that you have ordered.”

“Thank you.” Ning Zhi’s voice was a little hoarse, but the tune at the end of her words rose a little. The change in tune was so pleasant that it could make one’s ear tingle.

The female server couldn't help but stealthily glance over at the girl in front of her. She saw that her cheeks were blushing, making her look lively and pretty.

The female server inadvertently met the girl’s glossy, black eyes. She was taken aback a little. The girl’s eyes were too mesmerizing.

Noticing that the server was looking at her, Ning Zhi smiled politely at her.

Startled, the female server blushed and quickly lowered her head. She nervously moved the breakfast dishes from the small cart onto the dining table.

There was another person in the room; it was a man in a wrinkly black shirt.

The female server had only taken a quick look at him when he opened the door. She must say that these two customers were more eye-catching than celebrities on television.

The female server calmed her heartbeat and left with her little cart after she had successfully placed the breakfast dishes on the table. She certainly did not want to be the third wheel in there.

Just when the female server was about to close the door, she saw the man, who was just standing to one side earlier, carefully pick up the girl from her chair and place her on his lap.

The man leaned his head toward the girl as though he was being coquettish with her.

The female server’s little heart shuddered. What kind of a heavenly couple were they?!

She silently closed the door.

Next to the dining table, Ning Zhi sat on Lu Jue’s lap. Before she even recollected herself, she heard Lu Jue muttering into her ears, “Zhizhi was weak from unwrapping present. Must feed Zhizhi.”

Zhizhi’s legs were weak as was her waist. Even her fingers felt weak. As such, she did not turn down Lu Jue’s help and let him feed her in his clumsy way.

The little crown that had fallen off earlier had been picked up and was now abandoned on top of the table. Lu Jue could only see the little princess in his arms.

It was already early evening by the time the two had gotten home.

Mother Lu was sipping tea inside the living room. When she heard noises coming from the door, she turned and immediately saw her son walking inside while holding Ning Zhi’s hand.

The two younglings had been gone since after the banquet yesterday. She had no idea where they went to celebrate.

Putting down the cup that she was holding, Mother Lu smiled and said, “You two are back? Dinner is almost ready. Go and wash your hands.”

“Mom, we’ve already eaten,” said Ning Zhi with her cheeks red, feeling a bit awkward. “I’m a little tired. I will just rest inside my room.”

“Were you tired from going out? The kitchen had made some soup. You go and rest up. I will have someone bring you some soup later,” said Mother Lu thoughtfully.

Ning Zhi nodded and went upstairs.

Lu Jue did not let go but followed Ning Zhi upstairs. He was being very clingy.

Mother Lu studied the two from behind. She couldn't help but feel that something had changed between Lu Jue and Ning Zhi. Even the way that her son looked at Ning Zhi was different from before.

Lu Jue was always in a daze in the past. But now, the way he looked at Ning Zhi was like a wolf that had tasted meat. It was looking at its own tasty meal.

Something had occurred to Mother Lu, and she looked extremely happy all of a sudden. In fact, she was so emotional that her hands were shaking slightly.
