The room quieted down. Ning Zhi looked around the room, and she found that everything looked very familiar. She had lived here for many years in her memory.

Ning Zhi got up and wanted to get dressed. She wanted to go look for Lu Jue. Even though Overlord said that he no longer knew who she was, she refused to believe it until she saw it for herself.

She didn’t have a nice long conversation with Lu Jue before she had traveled back. Had she known that Lu Jue would not even know her after her last trip, she would have……

“You should just be glad that we get to go. If Mrs. Li’s youngest daughter wasn’t sick and couldn’t make it, she would not have let me have the invitations.” Mother Lin picked out a pink gown. “Try this one on.”

“One would need to be very fair to wear a pink color like this.” Lin Tiantian was not fair. A dress like that would make her seem even darker.

She recalled how fair Ning Zhi looked. This dress would look very nice on Ning Zhi.

Lin Tiantian harrumphed at her own thoughts. So what if Ning Zhi would look amazing in this evening gown? She didn’t even have the opportunity to wear a gown like this nor attend the Lu’s banquet anyway.
