Lu Jue returned shortly thereafter. He had on a bright-red shirt with black dress pants. Walking inside on his long legs, his clean and cold eyes and brows looked even more eye catching complemented by his bright red shirt.

Mother Lu had a big smile on her. “You are back today, Xiao Ju? Are you done with what you have been working on?”

Lu Jue nodded.

“This is mom’s friend. You can call her Aunty Li. This is her daughter, Jie Xiaoting. She is about the same age as you. You two can spend some time together and be friends with each other,” said Mother Lu with a smile.

Lu Jue nodded at both of them before he said to his mother, “I still have some more things to take care of. I am going to head to my room.”

“Alright, you go then.” Mother Lu looked away from her boy after he had went up the stairs.

“Aunty Lu, Young Master Lu Jue had just returned from out of town?” Jie Xiaoting was blushing and there was shyness in her eyes. She had just learned that Aunty Lu’s son was so incredibly handsome. He was even handsomer than her favorite idol. And then there was his temperament.

"He had been travelling out of town all the time lately and I have no idea what he is working on.” She worried back when he was ill and would stay home day in and day out. Now that he had recovered and would be gone all the time, she still worried.

Mother Lu sighed before she smiled and said, “You don’t need to refer to him as Young Master Lu Jue, Xiaoting. He is just three years older than you. I thought you young people like to say Big Brother. You can call him however you like.”

Jie Xiaoting’s delicate face blushed a little. She nodded and said, “Okay, I will call him Big Brother Lu Jue then.”

Mother Lu and Mrs. Li had a fun time chatting and she even asked them to stay for dinner.

“Aunty Lu, I can go and tell Big Brother Lu Jue that dinner is ready.” Jie Xiaoting offered.

“We shouldn’t have a guest go and get him,” said Mother Lu with a smile.

“It’s fine. You can spend Xiaoting. She had been sitting here with us this entire time. I think she is dying for a break.” Mrs. Li said tentatively, “Have her go. It will give the two children an opportunity to interact.”

Mother Lu was not a stupid one. She could tell the subtext in Mrs. Li’s words. Jie Xiaoting was poised and delicate. She looked like she would be a good match for her son. Mother Lu would not object should the two children become closer with each other.

She hoped that her son would find someone compatible.

Lu Jue hurried home after he had gotten off the plane so he could videochat with Ning Zhi the first chance that he got. He had been very busy lately and could only videochat with Ning Zhi.

On the screen, the girl had no makeup on and was sitting relaxingly on a swing set on the patio. The golden orange color of the setting sun outlined her and she was breathtakingly beautiful.

Lu Jue’s pitch-black eyes stared intensely at the screen. They had been videochatting everyday and, even so, he never felt that that was enough. “I am done with my project.”

Ning Zhi knew that Lu Jue had been very busy the entire month following his departure from City Nan. The two had not have a chance to meet up and she had made no progress in collecting little suns.

Now that he had told her that he was done being busy, her eyes lit up right instantly.

“Zhizhi misses me,” said Lu Jue with a very definitive tone.

Ning Zhi’s eyes and brows curved. She would not admit to that.

Lu Jue undid two buttons on his shirt and his sexy Adam's apple showed instanly. He chuckled softly, “I missed Zhizhi too.”

His long and straight eyelashes shuddered a little. His eyes pitch-black and his eyes and brows clear and cold, looking like the pure white moonlight. What he said so casually, however, made Ning Zhi blushed. “I had a dream last night. Zhizhi was wearing a little in my dream, saying that she wanted to open her present.

“Do you want to open your present, Zhizhi?”

Ning Zhi looked at Lu Jue’s blank look. She gathered that he really had no idea and didn’t remember the incident. She replied vaguely, “I will open if you give me a present!”

Lu Jue chuckled softly, “Okay.”

The two heard knocking on the door suddenly.
