Ning Zhi did not give up on her Autistic Foundation after she had gotten married.

Inside the organization, there were different subdivisions. Specialists and volunteers would tend to different kids basing on the degree of their illness.

The specialists would train the children by giving them little assignments. Every time that they’ve completed a little assignment, they would receive candies as a reward.

A normal person could retain what was told to them by their teachers after one time but that was not the case for autistic individuals. They need repetitions to commit something to memory.

Some parents would come and join their children in their sessions and learn techniques on how to train their children in their everyday life.

One of the parents quickly greeted Ning Zhi when they saw her. “There’s Miss Ning.”

The mother had a sincere smile on her along with a look of appreciation.

“How’s Xiao Zhe doing lately?” Ning Zhi asked the mother.

“He had learned to put his own clothes on. He also understood it when I asked him to pick up his toys yesterday.” She could not control the appreciation in her voice. “I am so thankful to Miss Ning. I think I’d have lost it by now if it wasn’t for you.”

She plunged into desperation when her son was first diagnosed with autism. Many special schools or organizations geared toward autistic individuals could cost upward of thousands, or even tens of thousands. That was not a price range that she could afford.

She learned about this organization when she was desperate and that had kept her going.

The organization that Ning Zhi had founded would treat autistic children for free for families that could not afford treatment. As such, the mother was very appreciative of it. Her son was only able to attend classes and receive treatments because of Ning Zhi selfless act.

Ning Zhi smiled and said, “I didn’t do much. I only did what was within my ability.”

“Miss Ning, you are both kind and pretty.” The mother couldn't help but praised Ning Zhi.

The mother had heard that Ning Zhi was from a wealthy family. Yet, after being around Ning Zhi, she found that Ning Zhi did not have the kind of haughty air or pride associated with rich people. Quite the contrary, she was soft spoken, polite, and very nice to the children at the organization.

From the perspective of the mother, Ning Zhi was a kind-hearted fairy god mother. She had no means of repay Ning Zhi’s kindness. All she could do was to wish for Ning Zhi’s happiness.

After chatting some with the mother, Ning Zhi went over to a little girl who was quietly drawing next to a small table.

“Beibei.”

Ning Zhi pulled over a little stool next to her and sat down. “I heard Volunteer Big Sister said that you had drawn another picture today. That is so amazing.”

Beibei was only 4 years old. She was fair skinned and cute. She had on a little tee shirt that was fading from too many washes. A crayon in her hand, she was drawing something on a piece of white paper.

The little girl was a little shy and a little happy when she saw Ning Zhi. She said in her milky voice, “Big Sister Zhizhi.”

Ning Zhi’s heart melted. She couldn't help but stroke her on her head. “Good girl.”

Ning Zhi pulled out a pretty pink hair clip from her pocket. “This is a reward for you. Do you like it?”

Little Beibie blankly looked at the hair clip that Ning Zhi was holding wither her distinct-looking eyes. She nodded docilely, “Yes.”

“Let me help you put it on you.”

Ning Zhi noticed that little Beibei’s braids were crooked. She redid them for you before putting the hair clip on.

“How’s little Beibei so cute?” Ning Zhi teased her.

Little Beibei could now tell that that was a compliment. Her dark eyes lit up.

When Lu Jue arrived, he happened to see Ning Zhi sitting there with a child who was drawing. She was talking to the child with her head lowered and she had a very tender look on her.

His Zhizhi was glowing.
