First of all, it’d appear that Third Uncle valued this son a lot.

Never mind that these two looked like water and oil when they were at the same place, whether the two got along with each other had nothing to do with whether he valued his son or not.

Secondly, Third Uncle seemed to also valued the child’s mother a lot, in addition to the child.

From what Lu BoYang knew about Lu Shao, all these years, Third Uncle had never valued anything other than matters having to do with the family.

He never cared much about any of his pitiful nephews.

“Say, is the father looking after your son while you are gone?” asked Li Yan.

“Mmmhmm.” Su Ran nodded.

For the first time, Su Ran felt that this birth father of Su Han that popped out of nowhere wasn’t half bad. She felt very comfortable having him take care of Su Han during her trip.

“School will be letting out in a couple of days. The father and son will be here to cheer you on, right?” Li Yan smiled as though something had just occurred to her.

Li Yan didn’t worry one bit that Su Ran might not be able to get into the final round!

“What did I say to her?” Lu Shao tightened his lips a little when he heard that and, giving Su Han a cold look, he purposefully put on a solemn tone and said to him casually, “I merely made an objective observation of your behavior up until this point was all.”

Su Han howled inside of himself: Like h*ll that was what you have said!

Only that fool of a woman would buy into words coming out of a man like you!

He said he was trouble? How was he being trouble, huh?

“You are just retaliating!” Su Han growled lowly.

“That was an odd word choice on your part.” Lu Shao critiqued him casually. “What reasons do I have to retaliate?

Only a lot!

Suddenly recalling that Su Han should have already arrived at Lu Shao’s, Su Han sent over another message.

[su]: Oh yeah, you are over at your Dad’s right? How is it over there? Everything going well?

[Han]: Alright, I guess.

Su Han expressed that begrudgingly.

Dinner here was, alright.

Everything else was, alright as well. It’d be better if Zhou Fu and the other servants would stop giving him that creep smile and, better yet, if the man sitting across from him wasn’t there at all.
