Gu Nian seemed to be stunned.
She maintained the same position and looked into Luo Xiu’s eyes, dazed, as though she had been lured into the deepest part of it.
Her lips moved slightly, “Do….”
The smile under Luo Xiu’s eyes were shallow and cold, “Do what?”
“Do…”
“Brother, Brother Lu?!”
A terrifying voice cut in between the two of them.
The little assistant who came over stopped where he was and stiffened up as he looked at his boss, who true personality could be described as terrifying, being held down by the little screenwriter as she groped him on his thigh in a corner not too far away from him.
The little assistant: ….. oh chit.
Was she trying to force herself on him?
The little assistant was immediately torn between “go up to save his boss” versus “turn around and leave now”.
But he didn’t have to struggle with his decision for too long.
Luo Xiu glanced quickly through his little assistant who was pale before he casually refocused back onto the girl.
“Do what, Miss Gu?”
Gu Nian’s pupil contracted quickly and she recollected herself instantly.
That very moment, an incredible joy and hopefulness exploded in her eyes and, without thinking, she grabbed Luo Xiu’s wrists –
“Re-re-repeat that one more time!”
There was a few seconds of dead silence.
Luo Xiu: “?”
Gu Nian’s voice was shaking. “Your… your look just now! That look! And that tone!”
Luo Xiu remained silent.
Gu Nian, on the other hand, was so excited that she was about to drag him out of the chair. “Keep this up! Remember your empathy, perception, and emotions when you said what you have just said! All you need to do is to perform half, no one-third of what you’ve just did in front of the camera and that will be sufficient! I am sure you will be famed from just that one shot, Mr. Luo Xiu!!”
“……”
Luo Xiu was speechless for a long while before he lowered his eyes and chuckled, his voice still a little low and dull.
“Good strategy, Miss Gu.”
“Yes, exactly like that! I knew we will be able to bring that acting out of you. You just haven’t gotten used to it being a newbie is all…”
Gu Nian picked up the hope that her son would be successful all over again and was about to lose her mind from excitement. She finally turned her head back after a few seconds.
“Hmm? Did you just say something, Mr. Luo Xiu?”
Luo Xiu looked up.
The girl was standing next to the lounger with his wrists in her hands. Even in this dimly lit area, her dark eyes were still sparkling like stars as she looked at him.
Her eyes were filled with excitement, authenticity, beauty, and they were moving.
He couldn’t tell.
To him, Gu Nian was the first exception in this world. He couldn’t tell whether she was being genuine or deceitful. In fact, even when he noticed that and was alarmed, he was still allowing himself to be dragged into the trap that she had set.
Luo Xiu looked at her for a couple of seconds, looked away, lowered his eyes, and said nonchalantly, “Nothing important.”
If it was any other time, Gu Nian would for sure get down to the bottom of it but now wasn’t the time. She was very worried that Luo Xiu’s acting would disappear in a flash like a shooting star.
“Mr. Luo Xiu, keep this up. Let’s head toward the filming area!”
“Your jacket.”
“OOoooh, who cares about that – The jacket is not important. You are what’s important! Let’s go!”
“……”
The jacket with a hint of fragrance slipped off and Luo Xiu only had enough time to catch it with his arm before he was pulled up from the lounger by the girl who normally looked like a robot that was out of battery.
Holding him behind her, Gu Nian walked quickly and excitedly toward the filming area –
“Remember to keep the state that you are in right now. You will be perfect in this role! You are talented! I knew it!”
As the two walked past him, the little assistant recollected himself and was stunned by the girl who was so excited that she had conveniently blocked him out of her site. He looked frantically at Luo Xiu who was being led away by the girl, “Bro…”
Luo Xiu stopped him with a look.
The little assistant stopped himself and swallowed his words. He stared intensely at their backs until the two of them, in close contact with each other, almost disappeared entirely from his sight—
The little screenwriter was holding onto their boss’s wrist intimately.
That might be nothing for someone else but when it came to the person with intense germophobic tendency…
“Was Brother Luo’s germophobic tendency cured??”
The little assistant muttered to himself, dazed.
