On his way there, Luo Xiu’s cellphone sat on the passenger seat and his blue tooth receiver in his right ear.

After a couple rings, the call was connected.

“Boss Luo?”

“Mmm. How’s the show that I asked you prepare coming along?”

“The basics had been drawn up. We are combing through the details one last time.”

“Okay. Let’s finalize the resident guests of the show before the specific implementation.”

“You mean…… Ms. Gu?” The person on the other end of the phone said the name cautiously.

Luo Xiu didn’t miss a beat. “Mmm.”

A few seconds of silence came from the other end.

Luo Xiu glanced over at the cellphone quickly. “You running into problems?”

“No, not exactly. We just don’t know what excuse we should use to approach her.”

“Excuse?”

“Yeah. She’s a freelance screenwriter. She is not associated with any company and had no known work…… On the other hand, our potential, ability, and network are known by all. The inside of the car went silent for a few seconds then came a low, clear, and seductive chuckle.

“Then make her an additional offer.”

“Tell her that she can recommend an actor of her choice to be on the show as well.” Luo Xiu smiled with his eyes lowered.

“…… If there is no other questions, we will have our legal department start drafting up the contract?” inquired Assistant Producer Lin Jincheng with a smile as he stood up after the PPT presentation was over and some simple questions had been exchanged.

Qin Yuanyuan and Jiang Xiaoqing hadn’t expected that it would have gone so smoothly. The two quickly stood up with him and nodded, “Yes, that will be fine.”

“Mmm. We will send over the electronic version to your email when the draft contact is completed. We will then invite you back here to sign the contact once you have confirmed the terms and conditions.”

“Alright!”

Jiang Xiaoqing was excited. She looked over next to her reflexively and saw that Qin Yuanyuan, too, had joy brimming out of her eyes. Then, both noticing something and looked down at Gu Nian, who was still sitting where she was.

Jiang Xiaoqing was taken aback a little. She called out to Gu Nian in a low voice, “Gu Nian, you……”

“I am fine.” Gu Nian lowered her some and got up as well. She packed up the script in front of her and said, “Alright, now that we are done, let’s go.”

“Mmm!”

Jiang Xiaoqing and the others walked around the chairs and the man who had said not a word the entire time suddenly moved. “Now that our partnership had been finalized, why don’t we head out for lunch together?”

Jiang Xiaoqing and Qin Yuanyuan were both stunned when they heard that and both looked over at the man in surprise.

Zheng Haolei looked over at the male producer who brought the three of them up and said, “Lao Jin, book a table at Tine and we will……”

“That won’t be necessary.”

Gu Nian, standing in between the stunned Jiang Xiaoqing and Qin Yuanyuan, didn’t seem surprised by that at all. With her backpack carrying her materials with her, she turned her hand both languidly and emotionlessly and looked at Zheng Haolei with no expression on her.

“We appreciate your invitation, Boss Zheng, but we have plans already.”
