“It’s fine.” Luo Xiu turned around and glanced over at the two girls, quiet like chickens, following behind Gu Nian before he said tenderly, “Are you here to talk about a partnership with Dingke Media?”

“Yeah, we have a script…...” Gu Nian paused a little. Turned, “How did you know?”

The smile in Luo Xiu’s eyes remained unchanged. “Giving your profession, wouldn’t there be only one reason for you to be here?”

Gu Nian didn’t think much of it and replied with a smile.

Jiang Xiaoqing and Qin Yuanyuan exchanged and look. They saw the complicated emotions on each other that was obvious on their faces.

It was almost noon time and there were more and more people in the lobby. Zheng Haolei was in a trance, but Jin Kun was getting more and more uncomfortable.

Zheng Haolei recollected himself, lowered his eyes, and said in a displeased tone, “What is it?”

Jin Kun dared not say that “you had been staring for so long that I want to call your spirit” back. He eyeballs rolled around and he put on a fawning smile. “This Luo Xiu seemed to be Miss Gu’s favorite actor. He, too, belongs to our company.”

Zheng Haolei paused a little, his eyes relaxed. “Just an actor that she likes?”

“Yes. That’s what the two other girls that was with her said. Miss Gu didn’t deny that either.”

“She’s a fangirl, huh?” Zheng Haolei seemingly talked to himself when he turned around.

Jin Kun said in a low voice, “If you don’t like this Luo Xiu guy, I can––“

Zheng Haolei, who was about to take off, narrowed his eyes languidly, “Can what?”

Jin Kun’s words were choked back by the look. He asked tentatively, “Can…… put him in his place. And, if he didn’t get the hint, teach him a lesson?”

Ever since they had returned from Dingke Media, both Jiang Xiaoqing and Qin Yuanyuan had an unspoken understanding to not bring up Zheng Haolei at all in front of Gu Nian.

Gu Nian didn’t mind that all that much and had, on different occasions, wanted to tell them the rest of the story but, as the opportunity never arose, Gu Nian had forgotten about it over time.

All the way until one day when the three returned from grocery shopping, Jiang Xiaoqing bounced out of the elevator and dashed around the corner to open the door with Gu Nian and Qin Yuanyuan slightly behind her. They suddenly heard a surprised call from Jiang Xiaoqing.

“Oh wow, what is this??”
