“What do you mean by boring?” Qiao Xi felt helpless. “Beautiful women, nice wine, fancy cars, a life of indulgence. Things that others will die for are all within your reach. Which one of them is so boring?”

“……”

Luo Xiu lifted up his eyes and looked out the window at the city at night.

“Demons?” Qiao Xi was surprised. “Isn’t that Zhuo Yixuan’s new show? That was a good move on Luo Zhan’s part, pushing you straight into the lion’s den.”

“Who’s Zhuo Yixuan?” asked An Yi.

Luo Xiu did not so much as to lift his eyes. Sloshing the wine glass held between his long and slender fingers, he said, “I don’t know who that is.”

Unbothered by his blind date being taken away by her friend, Qiao Xi, also known as Josh, got up and walked around the gauze curtain to the table next to the window.

The lights from the concrete forest outside of the window reflected on the thin and cold lens of the spectacles.

Gu Nian fished out her cellphone, opened up her calendar, and showed it to Lin Nantian. “Starting next Monday, that’s two days from now, I will be heading to a filming location out of town. I really don’t have time to get into a relationship right now.”

Lin Nantian looked over at Gu Nian’s cellphone as she talked.
