Multiple Personality Disorder - A very positive blog entry

Fuyu said I complain too much about webnovels in my blog so to prove her wrong, I am going to say something positive for a change! (Yes, if we are in a webnovel, I will be doing a @Fuyu to leech off of her popularity, shamelessly and unapologetically.)

Back to the original intention of this entry *ahem*. I just finished reading this book transmigration webnovel where MC explained to OO’s parents that she has multiple personality disorder. They didn’t really ask, but she volunteered.

Dad: You are just making * up!

MC: Have you ever seen anyone with such a change in personality over such a short period of time?

Mom: Is that true?

MC: Yes, I am the second personality. The first has opted to leave. [OO had committed suicide before MC took over the body.]

That was such an original and ingenious explanation that would not land her in a mental institution. I mean, it certainly sounds less cray-cray than “I am a transmigrator and this word that y’all are in is a novel and y’all are nothing but characters in a book.”

And, given that MC was informed of the story from watching a video blog, it wasn’t entire a lie that she (second personality) was dormant while first personality was in control of the body. Well, it is certain a stretch, but not entire a lie…

So, take that, @Fuyu. Positive entry!

Now, to faceslap myself and move onto the negative part. =)

I debated long and hard to translate this novel BUT the last 10 chapters were just plain awful (spoiler alert!). My one biggest pet peeve for Webnovels, as you all know, is a car accident / kidnapping / psychopath at the end of the story. This book has not one, but TWO of those — car accident + kidnapping!! How amazing is that? I guess that’d actually make oML a psychopath… so that’s 3 for 3…

As such, a mention here is just going to have to do. =)
