Diamond In The Rough

Say, what do you think is the hardest part as a webnovel translator?

If you answer is “the translating part”, then I am afraid I will have to tell you that you can’t be more wrong.

Answer: Find an interesting novel for you (the readers) and I. There are arguably millions of webnovels out there. The cost of entry is non-existent, which means its a very daunting tasks to find those diamonds in the rough…

The are a certain common traps to watch out for. Webnovels have a tendency to:

1) take a nosedive for the worse at some point (50% - 75% point) for the worse

2) interest characters or plot lines that were introduced being forgotten by the author…

The stress of this job is therefore… constantly checking how far of the book I have read and hope that the story stays consistent throughout and all interesting plot lines wrapped up nicely.

In the future, I might introduce on here some webnovels that I personally enjoy but may or may not end up translating.
