Yingying took a deep breath and said, “Call the cops.”

Shu Yan raised her brows, feeling a little surprised.

“I am going to beat you to death, you un-familial girl! You really are going to call the cops on us?!”

Yingying’s parents lunged at her and Shu Yan standing in front of her, was the first collateral damage. Just when she was thinking about how to fight back, someone blocked in front of her and grabbed Mother Yingying’s hand.

“Are you alright?”

Shu Yan shook her head, a little dazed. “I am fine.”

Yingying’s parents were charging at her angrily and Shu Yan almost took a step back from their aggressiveness. But she reminded her the last minute that she must not let her weakness show. Standing straight up with a cool face, she asked coldly, “What are you and what are you doing in front of my shop?”

The two aggressive people were surprised by Shu Yan and, with that pause, were no longer as aggressive as they were before.

“You are the boss of our girl, right? We appreciate that you have been taking care of her but we are here for personal reasons today,” said Mother Yingying with a smile to Shu Yan.

After her meeting in the morning, Shu Yan had nothing else on her schedule so she returned to her shop. As soon as she walked inside, she could see that both Zhang Huaxiu and Yingying were in foul moods. Yingying, in particular, had her body turned to the side. Even so, it wasn’t difficult to see that her eyes were reddened.

“What’s the matter?” Shu Yan walked closer and noticed that one side of her cheeks were a little swollen and there were bruising around the corners of her eye and mouth. Someone had obviously struck her.

“What happened? Who hit you?” Shu Yan took her hand and studied her carefully. She could even see redness in her eyes. How hard was she struck?
