I was going to rent their place but the old lady there said my children will destroy their furniture and refused to rent it to me. If this is their place you are talking about, I’m afraid we will run into issues with the old lady.” Lin Hui’s Third Aunty left a lasting impression with Shu Yan.

“I know which old lady you are talking about. Don’t worry about her. She has two sons and a daughter and she only cares about her boys. Her daughter never once returned to visit her after she got married. She had always been nice to her sons until the landlord had to a daughter.

Shu Yan had no idea that Feng Zeyu was troubled over how to pursue her. She needed to make a trip over to Lao Zhang’s place. It almost July and Lao Zhang’s factory was getting ready for fall undergarments. They would have to stop working on Shu Yan’s other projects for the time being.

His lips curved upward greatly. He needed to get some pointers on how to get himself a wife.

“Gifts, of course. When I was pursuing my wife, I gave her a pair of gold earrings and she accepted immediately.” A dark-skinned man leaned in and said to him.

Mao Weiping smacked him upside his head. “You think everyone is naïve like your wife who ‘d fall for just a pair of gold earrings? The one that Lao Feng was after is no ordinary woman. Have you heard of Xianxue?”

Shu Yan was taken aback a the time. She was right, why did she think that?

Was it because she had already considered marrying him? Was that why she had gotten all the way there?

Shu Yan thought about a lot. It was undeniable that she was interested in Feng Zeyu, so it was only normal that she would think about that. They were both up there in age and have both been through a lot in their lives. They were not like the youngsters who could just get together when they feel like it and split when they don’t anymore. Getting married is a big deal. Not to mention that she had two children with her. That being said, she shouldn’t overthink either. If she was to overthink it all, she might as well just give up on the idea of getting married again and just be with her children.
