City Nan was not that far from the oceanside. Shu Yan opted out going to the popular sites but, instead, picked a small fishing village. This was the hometown of an old colleague of hers from the past. The scenery was beautiful and the people simple and nice.

Tourism was not big back then and even if there were some, they were limited only to a few relatively well-known locations. Almost nobody would ever visit a small fishing town like this. When Shu Yan and the others arrived, many of the children looked at them curiously.

“Your brother had been divorced for so many years and had never been interested in another woman. He’s finally showing interest in someone, why does it have to be someone unavailable?” Mother Hu sighed. Then, turning toward Hu Ruixue, asked, “What about you? You plan on staying single for the rest of your life? You are not that much older than Shu Yan. If she can find someone else, why can’t you? With Duoduo’s condition, what are you going to do when you grow old? Mom is not asking you to get married right now. Just meeting people. You just might meet someone suitable. We will grow old too. What happens when we are no longer around and you are old? Who is going to take care of Duoduo? She will have someone to rely on if you give her a brother or sister.”

Quickly, the father gathered around with the exception of Duoduo.

“Ah, we don’t get to sit around and have dinner together a lot. There’s no need to be too formal.” Father Hu was slightly chubby and had a kind look. He looked very friendly.

Even after he had said that, very few of them talked while they ate. They only started chatting after they were done eating.

“That friend of yours, Shu Yan, is quite competent.” The ideas that she had proposed recently worked out very well.

Hu Ruixue gave Hu Ruiyang a look and said, “Big Brother, don’t you think you are paying too much attention to Shu Yan?”

Women’s clothing was very different from undergarment. As they had high expectations, they need to make sure it was perfect in every aspect.

The atmosphere at Xueyan had been very intense lately and everybody had been very busy.

“A few newspapers had already announced that our new women’s clothing designed had won awards. The commercials had started as well. Currently they are being played on City Nan Station in Province Lanjiang, Province Hujiang, and City Yang. We are still in negotiation with CCTV. We are looking at starting next week.” Jiang Pei is Shu Yan’s assistant and a very competent one at that.

Shu Yan tapped on the table with the pen in her hand and asked, “How’s our counters coming along?”
