Chapter 136 - It pained Jiang MingYuan a little but he remained silent. (2)

The most XingXing had ever done was to bring his mother her slippers or a glass of water. Occasionally he’d push the mop around pretending that it was a car. This was the first time he scrubbed the floor seriously.

He was still young and couldn’t quite handle the mop so Cheng Huan gave him a wrung out wet towel and had him scrub the floor on his hands and knees.

The little kid got onto the floor on all fours and started scrubbing off the lipsticks bit by bit with his head down. Jiang MingYuan was pained watching him but he finally decided to remain silent.

He took a look at Cheng Huan, took a couple of steps forward and picked up the broken lipsticks with a tissue paper. The tube of the lipstick was still intact and the logo of the brand was still on the bottom of it. There was also a string of numbers below it. Jiang MingYuan memorized the number before he tossed away the rest into the trash can.

When he looked up, he happened to see Cheng Huan looking away from the trash can.

XingXing scrubbed the floor for over 10 minutes and the floor was finally somewhat cleaned. The entire towel had turned a pinkish color.

Cheng Huan didn’t say a word but handed him a new towel for him to scrub the rug with. XingXing had been on his hands and knees this entire time and was, of course, tired. But he was also stubborn. As long as his mother hasn’t said a word, he would not admit that he was tried. He started on the rug with the new towel.

The two adults stood to one side and watched the little kiddo. The rug was much more difficult to clean than the floor. The color would not come off the fabric using a wet towel. Quite the contrary, the water would smear the color and making the area bigger.

XingXing spent a long time here but wasn’t able to clean it. He was about to start crying again. As young as he was, scrubbing this entire time had taken it all out of him. He finally lost his grip and dropped on the ground.

“Alright.” Cheng Huan walked over, picked up him, took the towel from him and handed it over to Jiang MingYuan. “You can stop now. Let’s go clean you up and head to the airport.”

XingXing, curled up in his mother’s arms, wrapped his weakened arms around his mother’s neck. He glanced over at his father quickly and said softly, “There’s Dad’s pants still.”

There was no way Jiang MingYuan would let his son wash his pants for him. He quickly said, “Oh, you don’t need to worry about Daddy’s pants.”

XingXing no longer dare to rely his father’s words anymore. After this incident, the little kiddo got it now. Mommy was the one who wore the pants around this house.

Cheng Huan carried XingXing into the bathroom and placed him on the stool in front of the sink. She squeezed out some makeup remover into her hands and applied them onto her son’s face.

The lipstick disappeared immediately when the makeup remover was applied. She applied them over his entire face where there was lipstick, particularly his brows. When she was done, she had XingXing closed his eyes and lowered his head so she could wash his face for him with her hand. She rinsed it a few times and only turned the water off after she had made certain that everything was rinsed off and dried XingXing’s face.

She placed the wash cloth back onto the rack before she took a look at her son and finally said, “Okay, if Daddy said so you don’t need to clean his pants for him. But next time you will.”

She figured the little kiddo had already learned his lesson by now. He probably wouldn’t even give a lipstick another look even if she put one in front of him right now.

Hearing that his mother had lightened his sentence, XingXing let out a big, exaggerated sigh as he patted himself on his chest and made promises to his mother fawningly. “I will never do that again, Mommy.”

“That’s fine. As long as you clean up after yourself next time.” Cheng Huan expressed that she didn’t care either way. What happened today had inspired her. She would just adopt the same method next time.
