Chapter 202 - “Mommy, Daddy asked you to wait for him to finish showering.” (3)
There was a lot of Cheng Huan’s mind and she couldn’t process them right now. Plus, she didn’t know that much about this world either. She finally shook her head and said to leave it up to him.
“Alright. I will let you know when I am done with the planning.”
After dinner, Jiang MingYuan drove the three of them home. When the elevator arrived, Cheng Huan walked out, turned and asked the little kiddo, “Did you want to sleep upstairs?”
“Yes!” XingXing shook his little head some. He couldn’t sleep with his mother anyway so it didn’t matter all that much where he was sleeping. Besides, he was still very much drawn to his new toys and wanted to stay closer to them. He abandoned his mother after two minutes of consideration.
“I will come looking for you tomorrow morning.”
“Yeah, we’ll see.” Cheng Huan refused to believe in his empty promises. Turning to Jiang MingYuan, she said goodbye to him. “Don’t stay up too late.”
“You too. Don’t play too much on your cellphone.” Nagged Jiang MingYuan. He then let go of the button and the elevator door closed in front of them.
XingXing followed his daddy upstairs and was still fantasizing about being able to sleep in his pile of toys. He was gravely disappointed. When the elevator stopped again, they had already arrived at the top floor.
When the little kid walked out of the elevator with his hand held, he was still dazed as he looked at the décors in front of him. He spun around twice at the same spot, looked up and negotiate with Jiang MingYuan, “I want to go downstairs, Daddy.”
“You are sleeping right here.”
Jiang MingYuan’s apartment might look very big but there were only two bedrooms. The guest bedroom was downstairs but he wasn’t comfortable letting his son stay on a floor all by himself.
XingXing pouted unhappily. His intention was to stay closer to his toys but now he ended up being farther from them.
His mother’s floor was only 1 floor from the toys!
The little boy did some calculations in his head and realized that he was worse off than before so he brought up his request again.
This time he was turned down by his father ruthlessly. Jiang MingYuan carried him into the bedroom like he was holding onto a chicken. He striped and bathed him with alacrity and shoved him into the bed before he went to take a shower himself.
Jiang MingYuan’s bed was very large and about as hard as he was. XingXing was used to soft beds and was very not used to the hard one. He tossed and turned in bed and even reached for his watch stealthily to call his mother to complain.
Cheng Huan was playing a game and put him on speaker. She grunted at what her son was saying as she played on her phone. When she was done with her game, XingXing was still going on and on about it. Closing out of her game, she ignored the little kiddo’s request to come back down to sleep with her and just asked, “Where’s Daddy?”
XingXing, “Daddy is taking a shower.”
He thought Mommy was going to tell Daddy to have him go back downstairs so he happily crawled out of bed, ran over to the bathroom, pushed open the door, and said loudly with his arm lifted. “Daddy, Mommy’s looking for you!”
Jiang MingYuan was used to living alone and was not in the habit of locking the door when he showers. When XingXing went inside, he had just finished washing off the soap on himself. He reflexively grabbed a towel and wrapped it around the lower half of his body as he gave XingXing a disapproving look. He Adam's apple rolled a little and he said, “Go outside first and wait for me to be done.”
“Oh.” XingXing had no idea what the problem was and walked back out in a carefree manner. He even related that to Cheng Huan, “Mommy, Daddy said to wait for him to get out of the shower.”
Cheng Huan, who had heard the entire conversation, “……”
As soon as XingXing had left, Jiang MingYuan immediately locked the bathroom door. He ran his fingers through his wet hair, stood there dazed for a little while before he went back into the shower.
