Chapter 210 - "It's a gift for you." (2)

The next day, Jiang MingYuan went back into the office by himself. It wasn’t long after he had arrived when he received a call from Gu MingLi.

Gu MingLi called to relay the message for Jiang XuDong, saying that he was willing to help him take care of the shipping business overseas.

Jiang MingYuan was not surprised by that at all. He set a time for Jiang XuDong to come over then, after hanging up the call, he contacted his lawyer to have all the paperwork prepared.

The time they had set was 3 PM the next afternoon and Jiang XuDong arrived 30 minutes early. When Jiang MingYuan returned from the branch office, he was told that Jiang XuDong was already there waiting for him.

Jiang XuDong had a lot of mixed feelings while sitting inside the conference room on the top floor and looking at the decorations.

Just a few years ago, he was the one who called the shots around here. He could have Jiang MingYuan wait around all day long without so much as a glass of water or he could just have the front desk not even let him into the building. Now their roles had swapped and he had become the person asking for the favor, waiting anxiously for the possible kindness from his nephew.

Jiang XuDong had been very intimidated over the last few years. Most of those that he was in cohort with had been arrested. He had stayed relatively clean and no dirt was found on him. As such, he was able to escape jail time. That, however, was not the end of it. He was forced to sell off his shares of the Jiang’s and even his own companies were not spared and one by one they had gone bankrupt.

Most of his life savings were put into his companies so he had more or less fallen from heaven to earth. He refused to give up at first and tried to start from scratch again but all of his effort had failed and he ended up owing a lot of money to the banks.

He had no job or did he have a lot of friends. If it wasn’t Jiang MingYuan who paid off his debts and gave him money from time to time, he wouldn’t even have money for groceries. He hated his life right now; as such, when he heard the news form Gu MingLi, even though he figured this couldn’t simply just be an act of kindness from his nephew, he came over anyway.

“Third Uncle.” When the conference room door opened, Jiang MingYuan walked in with a few others. “Sorry to keep you waiting.”

“I just got here as well,” said Jiang XuDong as he smiled at Jiang MingYuan. His smile was humbled. Reality had forced him to lower his noble head in front of his nephew.

“Let’s just cut to the chase.” Jiang MingYuan lifted his chin and the lawyer pulled out the documents that he had prepared in advance and started going through them with Jiang XuDong.

This was the company that Father Jiang had bought for him to test play when Jiang MingYuan was studying abroad. When Father Jiang passed away in an accident and Jiang MingYuan had quit school and returned, he hadn’t been paying this company much attention since. He had hired some professional to take care of it and, as the backbone of the company was quite well, it had been bringing in millions of yuan of profit annually.”

“Just a few millions?” Jiang XuDong was very disappointed. He thought any company under his nephew would start from tens of millions at the very minimum.

Jiang MingYuan looked at his own fingertips and stated a fact indifferently. “You can have millions overseas or stay here making nothing. Your decision.”

Jiang XuDong stared at him intensely and it looked like he was about to blow up at any minute. There was deep hatred in his eyes and after gritting his teeth for a long while, he finally forced out the few words, “I’ll go.”

“Good. You can go over the details with the lawyer. I have other matters to attend to. By for now.” Jiang MingYuan nodded, stood up, and walked out.

It will take more than a few days to transition a company; as such, Jiang MingYuan hadn’t planned on paying it too much attention. It wasn’t long after he had left the conference room, returned to his own office and started working before his assistant knocked on the door and said someone from Eleg was there to deliver his purse.
