Title: The Villainess Female Supporting Character Raising Her Bun
Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 263 - He needs to stop speculating and go talk to the person in question. (3)

When Cheng Huan had taken care of the issue of the child going to school, Jiang MingYuan, too, had learned of something else.

He had not yet heard anything back on what he had his people looked into but he learned of something else strange from Country M.

“You said she had been close to a young woman lately?” Jiang MingYuan leaned back in his chair, his tone nonchalant. “But that isn’t all of it, is it?”

“You are right. We have looked into this young woman and learned that she was Ms. Cheng Huan’s half-sister.”

That piqued Jiang MingYuan’s interest. Sitting up straight, he asked, “Cheng Huan’s sister? Are you sure about that?”

“More or less.”

“Don’t make any moves yet. Let’s see what they are up to.” Jiang MingYuan frowned a little but quickly unknotted his brows. He quickly added a new assignment for the person on the other end of the phone. “Look into that family for me.”

The person on the other end was well-prepared and send over the information to Jiang MingYuan not too long after their conversation was over.

According to the document, Cheng Huan’s mother remarried after her father passed away and had another daughter with that man the same year they got married. The man was in wholesale and had since moved to the south and gotten into the undergarment industry. He had his own brand now and was relatively successful.

The name of the woman who had been hanging out with Gu MingLi lately was Chen Xi. She was 19 years old and was a college student. From what he was reading, the parents were very nice to this daughter and she was a very good girl as well. She had good grades and was talented in the fashion design area. She was a familial girl in addition to that. A text book case of a winner in life.

Jiang MingYuan had been frowning since he started reading this document. They were half-sisters but their lives were so different. Jiang MingYuan wasn’t interested in learning about all the awards that the girl had received in the past. He went all the way to the end of the document and something caught his attention immediately before he closed out of it.

A lot of time had past when he finally called the person back.

The person on the other end of the phone seemed to have been waiting for his call. “You done reading, Boss?”

“The document mentioned a total change of personality. What do you mean by that?”

“Exactly like it sounded. Since August of last year, Miss Chen acted like a totally different person. Her personality had become very extreme and explosive. Even her talent in design seemed to have disappeared all of a sudden. She wasn’t even able to produce a simple design. Miss Chen’s parent had taken her to the hospital to have her check out. Words had it that Miss Chen refused to cooperate with them and the checkout was inconclusive.”

“In addition…” The person paused a little, cleared his throat, and went on, “Miss Chen used to be a conversative girl. They kind who’d blush when talking to someone of the opposite gender. She is very open now. Rumor had it that she even shares a long-term a gigolo with a girlfriend of hers.”

He even chuckled when he said that. He only remembered that he was talking to his boss and not workers under hi after he chuckled. He quickly recollected himself and concluded, “All in all, other than her look, this Miss Chen was like a completely different person. Even I suspect that she might have been possessed… ahem, Boss, that’s all I got.”

Jiang MingYuan didn’t say anything. For some reasons, he recalled reading reports on Cheng Huan. It said that she had no steady work before and, since August, she had severed her ties with her connections in the past, moved, and started her barbeque booth.”

He wouldn’t have given it too much thought if they were only talking about one person. But now he was told that the other person had also changed so drastically…

He shouldn’t go down this path! He closed his eyes and rested his hand on the side of his head and let out a sigh.

There was no need to think about these. Speculations at this point would not do him any good. He might as well just go and ask the person in question directly.

Jiang MingYuan closed out of the document. Opened up his work mailbox and focused on his work.
