When the winter break was over and school had started over again, all of Shen Xi’s pocket money had been stopped and she had wasted away most of the saving. She desperately needed a way to support herself.

She hadn’t even figured out what kind of job she could get before her old body came looking for her.

Shen Xi was probably the only person who had experienced looking at herself from a third-person’s perspective.

She was pretty, with light makeup on. Her clothing and jewelries were poise. They were very different from her own style.

Shen Xi felt wronged all over again. Madam had told her that Cheng Huan only got to where she was right now because of her son. But she was the one who had given birth to the son. Had she not become a different person, she would be Mrs. Jiang right now!

As envy as she was, Shen Xi was still able to remain calm. She put up the front that she didn’t care about Cheng Huan’s current life at all and did all she could in maintaining the last bit of her self-esteem.

That woman was quite stupid and always felt weak in front of her. Shen Xi liked to ask her out because Cheng Huan would always foot the bill.

The more time the two spent together, the more envious she was. How was it that this woman could have everything using her body yet she was in the situation that she was in today. She didn’t even have enough for her living expenses.

She had never made money properly over the years and that wasn’t going to happen now either. As such, over time, the idea of marrying rich formed in her head again.

Her first and foremost target was the leader of the Jiang family. Except that he was too cold and difficult to get close to. Shen Xi had asked out Cheng Huan all these times and had never once met him.

She suspected that this woman’s relationship with Jiang MingYuan wasn’t as close as Madam had portrayed. Perhaps Cheng Huan was just a lover of his. Shen Xi was a little bit disappointed but mostly she was happy. Perhaps her dream could still come true.

Then she saw the leader of the Jiang family and her own son.

She hadn’t seen this child in 6 months and he was much taller now than he was before. He also looked more attractive and more outgoing. He was affectionate toward that other woman and was very close to her. In the past, he rarely ever said a word.

Shen Xi felt somewhat angry. She was used to this emotion by now and could control it very well. She put on a front of a mother who had been suppressing her emotions and hoped to get his attention.

Alas, the man had never once looked over in her direction.

She couldn’t interject in their conversation either and then there was that child there rambling next to her. Jealous and coveting what Cheng Huan had, she snapped at the child like she always had.

Then she was kicked out of the car by the man.

Standing at the corner of the street, she had no idea how things had gotten to the point that it did. Even the Shen couple knew to be nice to their own children, so why was it that the little brat couldn’t tell that she was his real mother?

He was a white-eyed wolf after all, right?

The thought made her feel better. She still hadn’t given up on her plans but Cheng Huan had refused to hang out with her after that. The talent show that she had joined as an excuse, however, yielded surprised result. She ended up at third place.

All top 10 of them had capital behind them. Shen Xi did not believe that she made it where she was with her sheer ability. She had an idea who it was who helped her get there. Feeling a fire stirred inside of her, she looked forward to the day when the person showed up. She was willing to do anything.

She waited for a long time but the person never showed up. She had, however, debuted with the others in the top 10.

Her life changed a lot since she had debuted. Nobody was there to back her and job after job squeezed out the last drop of her energy. The massive salary that she brought in, though, made her feel that it was worth the while.

Then, one day, she heard that the two were married.

She saw the picture from the employer of one of her girlfriends. The man and woman in the picture were in wedding outfit and were looking at each other. Their love could be seen from the photo alone.

Her girlfriend went on to tell her that neither of their parents were there at the wedding. It was said that both parents of one of them had passed away and the other’s father had passed away and his mother, unwell and resting in some village overseas, didn’t travel much.

Shen Xi recalled the old madam whom she had met in the past. She was very adamant about splitting up this couple. Hatred mounted in her again. Why couldn’t she accomplishment such a small thing?

Well, guess it wasn’t too bad. That was, after all, her body.

She printed out the picture that was sent to her by her girlfriend and placed it under her pillow. She dreamed about one day she would change back to herself every night.

That way she would become the Mrs. Jiang that everybody was envy of.

Author’s rambling:

That was more of less it. Mother Jiang was truly resting elsewhere. Her lover had left her for someone younger and went bankrupt later on. As for why Boss Jiang had assisted Shen Xi with her debut. Well, think of it as a sort of a repayment.
