Boss Kang was carried on the man’s back and continued to pretend to be a fool. He was speechless. Was this man going to bring his child with him when he went to cheat on his wife?

“You are almost there. Just wait for me at the cross street.”

Boss Kang, sitting in the child seat in the back, watched on coldly.

And he had the audacity to pretend to be a good father: “Baby, a strange lady will be sitting next to you in a little bit. Don’t be afraid. She’s not a bad person.”

Boss Kang did not respond to him.

Shortly, the car pulled over at the cross street and a young girl, dragging a suitcase behind her, waved.

She seemed to have taken aback a little when she saw the man at the driver’s seat. She looked a little bit scared.

The young girl then noticed the little boy sitting in the child seat in the back. The man turned his head and, once again, stroked the little boy on his head. His voice was tender. “Don’t worry. This little sister will only ride with us for a little bit. We just need to drop her off at the airport.”

The mean-looking man had only fatherly love left in him all of a sudden.

The young woman, watched the interaction between them, seemed to have relaxed.

Boss Kang finally noticed by now that the man wasn’t there to meet up with his lover; he was there as a driver.

Yue Qin dropped the girl off at the airport before he noticed that his son was not sleepy yet. He had planned to drop his son off at home but, now that he had noticed that he wasn’t sleepy, he worried that his son would sneak out again if he took him home. He said to him, “Do you want to stay with Daddy when he works?”

Boss Kang thought to himself, Do I have a choice right now?

Yue Qin continued to accept orders with his son being there.

The next order was from a couple. They seemed to be fighting over something. The backseat was a bit crowded after they had gotten inside of the car because of the child seat in the back.

“I apologize. My son couldn’t sleep tonight so I brought him with me.”

“It’s alright,” said the woman right away.

Having said that, she said to her husband next to her, “Look at that. He brought his son with him when he goes to work. That’s a good father. You just leave the son with me whenever you need to go somewhere.”

The man grunted and said, “Only useless men will not be able to find a babysitter when he goes to work. We are nice. Do you think everyone will be okay with a child in the back?”

As the man talk, he noticed the little boy stared squarely at him. He neither moved nor talked. Something seemed off. The man said, “Your son is a fool, right?”

The woman quickly tugged at her husband.

Boss Kang had been on the top of the world in his entire life and had never had anything said that about him before! And now he had to sit next to this man?!

It never crossed Boss Kang’s mind that the man in the front would do anything about it. Afterall, he needed to make money. He couldn’t possibly speak up for him.

“Get out. I am not taking your order anymore,” said the man in the front, his voice angry.

The man was about to say something else but Yue Qin had already pulled over to the side and walked out of the driver’s side.

The 1.9-meter man towered in front of the car door.

The man who was about to make some comments was so intimidated that he couldn’t talk anymore. He got out of the car feeling defeated.

Yue Qin only patted his son on his head after they were gone. “Don’t listen to them. You are not a fool. You are a genius. You are the best child that Daddy had ever seen.”

Boss Kang looked at the back of seat expressionlessly, saying nothing.

Did he not have any self-awareness at all? You need to make money! You can’t just no take the job because someone said your son is a fool. He was only telling the truth! No wonder he’s so poor!

The father and son finished their last order and Yue Qin calculated the total that he had made this one night.

Boss Kang couldn't help but stuck his head over to look as well.

Total orders today: 15. Expected income today: 369.86 yuan.

369.86 yuan??? Boss Kang thought about it for a second. They did all 4 orders tonight. Which mean he accepted another 11 orders in the day time, and he made a total of 300 some odd yuan?

If he remembered correctly, the stupid classes that he had attended in the morning cost 120 yuan each, and he had two of them a day.

“Son. Do you want a little car? When Daddy has money, he will buy you a little toy car. What do you say?”
