The few walked out of the meeting room.

Gu Shao noticed that something was missing next to him after he had taken a couple of steps. It was then when he noticed that Gu Xi was still sitting where she was, deep in thought with a frown.

Who was the one who eagerly wanted to tag along earlier?

Gu Shao grumbled to himself and he called out to Gu Xi helplessly.

“Huh?” Gu Xi came to when he heard Gu Shao calling out to her.

“We are leaving.”

“Hmm?”

“I thought you want to see the demonstration,” said Lu Shao.

That was when Gu Xi was reminded of her purpose of wanting to be there. She nodded in a daze, jogged over to Gu Shao, and followed him over to the 8th floor research room that was responsible for this project.

Gu Shao and Qiao Luo walked in the front and talked about the expansion of this project overseas and other arrangements. Gu Xi couldn’t understand their conversation and, as such, only followed quietly behind Gu Shao.

Walking next to Gu Xi was also Qiao Luo’s secretary.

Gu Xi couldn't help but glanced over at Lisa a few more times.

As though noticing the looks coming from Gu Xi, Lisa turned toward Gu Xi and gave her a friendly smile.

Gu Xi, too, curved her lips upward some and gave her a smile, her brain working rapidly.

Recalling the earlier conversation between Gu Shao and Qiao Luo, her name seemed to be Lisa?

Gu Xi thought about the story arc in the original novel. There was nobody by the name of Lisa in it, and there was only one character who looked like Song Kexin……

Gu Xi thought about it some and finally, looking up at Lisa, she said, “Aunty Li.”

Hearing how Gu Xi had addressed her, Lisa was taken aback a little at first. And, when she figured out what she was saying, she busted out laughing.
