Title: The Female Supporting Character Ran Off With The Bun
Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 104 -  He could be a softie and she could be stone cold (1)

Jiang Chong was still a little bit worried. He knew that even as a female, Chi Ying could be cold as steel, especially when it came to matters related to Boss Lu. Low and below, Boss Lu was a softie when it came to matters related to Chi Ying. Now that the two of them were stuck in the wild together, what if accident happened? Now was his chance to pay the pity card to the max.

Right when Chi Ying was about to hang up, Jiang Chong said to her, “I am counting on you, Miss Chi. Boss Lu had been busy with work and been under a lot of pressure lately. He also hasn’t been sleeping well, which was also why he has become susceptible to illnesses…”

He went on and on for a long time before he finally let her go. He was still a little worried but at least the burden inside of him had been lightened.

Jiang Chong had no idea what Chi Ying’s problem was with Boss Lu. He was rich and handsome. With the exception of being a little bit distance and not very good at expressing his emotions, he couldn’t think of anything else about him that a girl would find repulsive. Had he not seen it with his own eyes, he’d never believed that someone as outstanding as Boss Lu would suffer from unrequited love.

Chi Ying had a pretty good idea why Jiang Chong said what he had said but she didn’t call him out. She merely responded with a string of “okay” and “yes”.

Chi Ying had more or less figured out that Boss Lu did not suffer from any other form of illnesses. He just hasn’t been sleeping much or that his quality of sleep had been very poor recently which has led to a decrease in his immunity and the rain in early fall had brought him down.

It was necessary for her to push Lu JingYan away but she wasn’t some cold-hearted person. She did have compassion. Not to mention that Lu JingYan had helped her out a few times. She was certainly appreciative of what he had done for her but she would be more comfortable if he hadn’t.

Chi Ying grabbed a towel from the bathroom to ice him down in the hope of lowering his temperature. She also got some warm water from the kitchen to give to him and his lips had finally regained some moisture.

There were very limited resources in the cabin and that was about all she could do.

Chi Ying sighed slightly. The normally noble and prideful heir of the Lu’s was now lying here pale and fragile. Frankly, she felt quite bad about it.

As she sighed, Lu JingYan suddenly seemed a bit worried. He didn’t toss and turn and his limbs remained where they were… but his brows furrowed deeper all of a sudden. His lips that had just regained some of their color turned a darker color again. His cheeks were pale like paper and large droplets of sweat began to form on his forehead.

Chi Ying frowned. What happened to him? Was he having a nightmare?

Most of her dreams were of the warm and fuzzy kind. She has nightmares occasionally but at most she would wake up in cold sweat and recover in a few seconds. She had rarely seen someone affected so much by nightmares. She didn’t know whether it was because Lu JingYan was running a fever or that, much like Jiang Chong had mentioned, his sleep quality has always been poor. Chi Ying hoped that this was not the norm.

She rinsed the towel one more time, making it wet, warm, and soft. She then wiped away the sweat on Lu JingYan’s forehead. Sweat continued to break out from him and quickly soaked his shirt. His normally impeccable shirt was now wrinkled. She didn’t even sweat that much after she had completed an 800-meter run during her physical education examination. Now that Lu JingYan was running a fever, she worried that sweating so much would cause him to dehydrate.

Chi Ying made mixed some salt and water in the kitchen. But, by now, the men’s lips were shut even tighter than they were before and the corners of his lips were turning purple. Even after she lifted his head up higher, she wasn’t able to get any water into him.

Chi Ying signed and gave up. Lu JingYan was as stubbornly alert in his sleep as he was when he was awake.
