Title: The Villainess Female Supporting Character Raising Her Bun
Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 77 -   With his head hung low, this was the first time XingXing felt that he wasn’t all that keen about going to school. (2)

Even though Cheng Huan was thinking about all sorts of random things, she did not slow down in her pace. A street light in front of her was broken and it was broken in an odd way. It wasn’t entirely dark, but it’d blink a few times every two seconds or so.

When Cheng Huan first saw it, she was so scared that her heart almost stopped beating!

Her paused for a brief second, then picked up her pace. She stared intently at the road in front of her and dared not even looked to the side.

The street light blinked a few times again. Cheng Huan shuddered at the beginning but it gotten better after she had the rhythm figured out. She looked up and stared at the street light that wasn’t too far away from her and counted the seconds in her heart. When she counted to three, sure enough she saw that the light quickly dimmed and lit back up. That made Cheng Huan felt better. She put her head down and continued on her way.

She must give the city office a call tomorrow. It was easy to have accidents with street lights like that.

Another breeze and the shadow of the trees swayed and the street light flickered again. It was still scary around her. Cheng Huan walked every faster and jogged out of the area under that particular street light.

Once she had passed the section, she left a sigh of relief. She couldn’t help but gotten curious and turned around to take a look.

For some odd reasons, this section seemed to have nothing to do with the bustle city center. Even the condition of the road seemed to worse than the other sections.

With her head turned, Cheng Huan didn’t pay enough attention to where she was walking. When she lifted her foot, she tripped a little on the edge of a flagstone that stuck out a little.

The street light flickered again when she tried to regain her balance. Before Cheng Huan could turn and look, she seemed to have seen a shadow of a person that disappeared quickly right when the street light flickered.*

Cheng Huan, “!!!”

She reflexively held her breath and turned around immediately. Scenes from many ghost stories flashed through her head. Cheng Huan was scared to death but she was too scared to run. She could only walk as fast as she could.

As she walked forward as fast as she could, she dared not turned around and look again. When she had finally gotten out of that desolate area and started seeing other pedestrians, Cheng Huan finally felt less scared. And she remembered the silhouette that she had saw earlier.

Now that there were others around her, she figured even if there were ghosts, they wouldn’t be able to do anything to her. As she was thinking that, she summoned up enough courage to turn around and look again.

There was nothing.

She suspected that she was seeing things because she was too nervous earlier. That was certainly a possibility. It was breezy at the time, and the street light was flickering nonstop. Perhaps it was just her imagination brought about by the movement of the tree branch in that brief moment of darkness.

Whew! Alright!

Now that she was finally able to make herself feel better, Cheng Huan was finally able to lose that scared feeling. After this trip, she just felt particularly tired. So tired that even her excitement of the cash that she had gotten out of nowhere was mostly gone.

Not too far away, in the cabin of a car, a chauffeur waited for the instruction from his employer.

“Let’s head back.”

“Okay.”

Jiang MingYuan had just met with a few individuals from the upper management of the city today and discussed about this particular stretch on Xinsi Road. This stretch of road was very odd. Both sections before and after it was flourishing but, no matter how hard they try, they just couldn’t get this section to liven up.
