The elderly butler brought Chi Ying to Lu JingYan’s room.

Chi Ying remained silent for a little bit outside of the door before she knocked on it gently. Her palms were a little bit sweaty. This was the first time she had approached Lu JingYan voluntarily without being invited. She felt unconfident.

“Okay, let me check with my mom then.” There were stars in Chi Cheng’s eyes when he talked about his mother.

“Oh.” YueYue sighed. “I’m so envious of you. I have no mom or dad.”

Chi Cheng was very surprised, “The aunty that picks you up every day is not your mom?”

Chi Ying, suppressing her complicated emotions, said seriously, “Please ask.”

Chen Jin paused for a little and started tentatively, “Have you been through any sort of disaster or accident?”

Chi Ying frowned slightly, “Disaster or accident?”

He once again reached out to his mother’s large hand with his small ones and took her to the front of the drawer of the craft table.

He had placed all of his drawings inside of this drawer.

It was his most treasured drawer.
