As usual,  Ning Zhi’s skin was in good condition. She was fair and had no blemishes. The makeup artist did not want to apply foundation on her for fear that it would interfere with the translucence of her skin. Thus, all she did was apply some lotion and some eye makeup on Ning Zhi.

Ning Zhi’s dark eyes had always been pretty. They were bright and limpid. The makeup artist specifically made her eyeliner super long and curved upward at the end making look more charming.

Right when the makeup artist was about to apply lipstick for Ning Zhi, Lu Jue suddenly chimed in and said, “I’ll do it.”

The makeup artist paused a little and handed the lipstick over to Lu Jue.

Ning Zhi recalled how Lu Jue had applied lipstick on her last time and blushed.

The last time he applied lipstick on her inside the closet, he would dab a little on her lips, lower his head, and then kiss her. Bit by bit, he would eat all of the lipstick he applied himself.

Ning Zhi worried that he would repeat what he did in front of the makeup artist and her assistant.

Lu Jue took the lipstick, and his slender and slightly chilled fingers lifted Ning Zhi’s chin. He had done this before. He knew that the lipstick should not spill out of the lip area.

His eyes lowered and looked carefully at Ning Zhi’s small, little mouth. Slowly, he colored her lips in.

Zhizhi’s lips were so pretty. He really wanted to kiss them.

“Are you done?” asked Ning Zhi when she felt that Lu Jue had stopped moving.

“I’m done.” Lu Jue knew now. He should not kiss Zhizhi in front of others. As such, he obediently did not try anything.

Ning Zhi looked in the mirror. Smacking her lips a little, she found out that the color was perfect.

The makeup artist was shoved another mouthful of dog food. Looking at Ning Zhi and the Second Young Master Lu, the girl’s heart was touched. She loved watching this couple interact with each other.

But she didn’t want to be a lightbulb, so she tried to finish her work as soon as possible. “Ms. Ning, which gown will you be wearing today?” She needed to style Ning Zhi’s hair based on what she would be wearing.

Ning Zhi cocked her head and looked at Lu Jue. “Do you want to pick for me? I’ll wear the one that you picked out for me.”

Lu Jue’s pitch-black eyes beamed a little. He walked over to the row of gowns. There was no need to pick. He immediately reached for the most eye-catching red gown among the gowns. “This one, Zhizhi.”

Ning Zhi was surprised by his choice. Her eyes curved. “Okay.”

Both the makeup artist and Lu Jue were stunned when Ning Zhi walked out of the changing room.

In her red gown, Ning Zhi’s skin appeared to be white like snow. She was incredibly attractive.

Lu Jue couldn’t wait to walk over to her. His large hand picked up Zhizhi’s in a very possessive way. “Zhizhi pretty. Mine.”

Zhizhi was normally very pretty already, but Zhizhi in a red gown was even prettier. She was so pretty that Lu Jue almost forgot how to breathe.

Ning Zhi just let him hold onto her. “Right, yours.”

The man was in a red suit with a black shirt underneath. He was tall and handsome, and his clean face had a seductive look on it. The girl next to him was in all red. Her eyes were bright, and her teeth were white. She was mesmerizing.

The makeup artist felt that when the two stood side by side at the banquet, none of the guests would be able to look away from them.

Sure enough, when the banquet started and Ning Zhi showed up, holding Lu Jue’s hand, all of the guests were stunned. Mother Lu, on the other hand, couldn’t stop smiling, thinking that the couple was a match made in heaven.

Lu Jue and Ning Zhi were probably the only couple who could look so good in red.

As they walked, little black clouds appeared popping out in Lu Jue’s indicator.

These people around them were too annoying. They kept looking at Zhizhi. He knew Zhizhi would never belong to them no matter how they keep on looking, but it was still upsetting to see them stare at her.

“It’s my birthday today, so you are not allowed to get upset.” Ning Zhi said coquettishly while squeezing his hand stealthily.

She had been busy greeting the guests, so she only saw the dozens of little black clouds in the indicator after turning around and looking at him.

Lu Jue nodded obediently. How did Zhizhi know that he was upset?
