It was already close to evening when Ning Zhi finally arrived at the Lu’s. The sun was setting outside, and she could hear the music starting from the inside.

“Do you think you can tell me where he is right now?”

The security guard remained expressionless and would not divulge any information. “I’m sorry. We don’t know Young Master Lu Jue’s whereabouts.”

Ning Zhi went silent for a little while. She wanted to wait there for Lu Jue.

She still refused to believe that Lu Jue had truly forgotten about her. That he didn’t remember even just a little about her.

The sky gradually turned darker, and the Lu’s guests arrived one by one.

It was bustling around the Lu’s house. There were lots of fancy cars out front, and many upper-class wives and daughters attending the event arrived with their makeup and pretty gowns on.
