Mother Lin was even more displeased. She felt that Ning Zhi was too immature. She had raised her all these years. Not only was Ning Zhi not thankful for it, but she would dare to throw them around, leaving them when she was upset. “We can talk about it at home tonight. Let’s not make a scene here.”

“Exactly, Ning Zhi. Hurry up and leave. Stop embarrassing us and yourself here.” Lin Tiantian had on makeup and a delicate dress. Lifting her chin, she felt superior to Ning Zhi, who only had on a plain dress.

Ning Zhi was an orphan, and she couldn’t even walk inside the Lu’s place right now. She should not let a nobody like Ning Zhi bother her.

Mother Lu did not know the two of them. As such, she simply nodded at them in greeting. She was running a fever and only had a thin dress on. She wasn’t sure whether she was feeling colder and colder because of the fever or because the temperature was actually dropping.

Experiencing a profound sense of sadness and loneliness, she looked at her own shadow and decided to go back, if she didn’t see Lu Jue soon.

Suddenly, the surroundings brightened, and a black car approached.

The car drove past Ning Zhi, and seeing the familiar face inside the car, Ning Zhi was delighted. “Lu Jue.”

She walked up to the car quickly.

“Lu Jue!”

Ning Zhi started to run. The hem of her light blue dress floated in the air.

From inside the car, Lu Jue looked out the window, and his pitch-black eyes glanced casually over the girl’s face.
