It was very quiet inside the room and the male nurse yawned from boredom. Occasionally, he would look at his cellphone.

Lu Jue pinched his lips shut. His eyelid fluttered but he didn’t move.

“Ouch. I wonder if anything is broken.” Ning Zhi scooted over to Lu Jue and sat back down next to him. She made pitiful sniffling noises and held her arm in front of Lu Jue.

“Lu Jue, my hand hurt.”

She waved her hand in front of him purposefully. “I’m sure it’s fractured.”

Lu Jue’s long and straight eyelashes fluttered. The girl’s arm looked white and soft arm in front of his eyes and the tips of her fingers pink. There was not even a hint of redness.

Lu Jue looked up and quickly glanced over at Ning Zhi. He pinched his lips shut when he encountered her disappointed look.

After a long while, he lowered his head and blew at her arm.

The warm air landed on her palm and Ning Zhi was taken aback a little. Her eyes then curved.

“It’s still hurting. I need another one.” She coaxed.

Lu Jue gave her another quick look and blew again at her palm gently. He then turned his head away, refusing to blow at it again.

Ning Zhi pulled her arm back and there was light in her eyes. “Thank you. Its not hurting anymore now.”

Regardless of which Lu Jue it was, he would always react to her.

Ning Zhi noticed that night that Lu Jue had laid down in bed with his hair wet and the male nurse did nothing to stop him. It seemed he was already used to Lu Jue’s behavior.

His wet bangs laid docilely over his forehand and Lu Jue’s brows and eyes were showing.

Perhaps because he rarely left the house, Lu Jue’s skin tone was an unhealthy pale. That made his eyes looked even darker.
