Entertainment in the mountains was very lacking compared to a city. The production crew had already been holed up here for over a month and those who had been here the entire time were about to go out of their minds.

The birthday party turned into a night of mad fun for everyone. Whether the host and the special guest were there or not would not dampen their desire to drink till they drop.

The crazy night lasted into the wee hours of the night.

Exactly as Luo Xiu had said, by the time Gu Nian had their ride arranged and gotten Jiang Xiaoqing back, it was the middle of the night.

Gu Nian carried the half confused and half awake Jiang Xiaoqing to the basin by their room to wash them and then carried her back to her bed.

A hint of smile flashed past Luo Xiu’s face and turned purposefully and said nonchalantly, “Go to the front desk and book two rooms for her and Miss Jiang of the screenwriting team. Put it on my tab.”

Gu Nian stopped Zhu Hanyu.

Luo Xiu lowered his eyes, “Why not? Are you worried that I am setting you up?”

“Of course not.”

“Why then?”

Now that his speculations had been confirmed, the little assistant was almost in tears. “You don’t mean to tell me that you have, started making your moves already?”

Luo Xiu turned to look at him. His smile gentle and harmless. “You certainly know me quite well.”

The little assistant was feeble. “Can I ask what it is? So that I will at least have an idea?”

The party lasted until 11 o'clock and that’s when the others noticed that the host and the birthday boy were both gone.
