Gu Nian was still reflecting on which area she hadn’t done enough that led to her loving mother’s image being hurt when the director team shouted over the loud speaker.

Using the final moment that she got, Gu Nian shuffled closer to Luo Xiu and said seriously to him in a low voice. “Don’t worry. You will for sure get roles that fit you better. Don’t feel let down!”

Luo Xiu looked up and the image of her getting close to him was burned into his eyes. “… okay.”

Gu Nian turned and looked at the monitoring area where the voice came from.

Gu Nian was in a daze while staring at the script and she heard Director Geng’s voice through the loud speaker. “You are up, Little Ding Qiao.”

Gu Nian begrudgingly put the script down, stood up with her eyes drooped and walked toward the filming area in the middle.

The lighting team was rearranging per the director team’s request. The film hadn’t started officially yet and Zong Shiyi was standing next to Luo Xiu, saying something to him.

When she saw Gu Nian approaching them, she quickly took half a step back and smiled at them. “I shall excuse myself now.”
