Those from Province Wen were risk-takers and hard-workers. They were smart and were good at business. The fact that Big Sister was able to insist on getting a divorce at the time and successfully secured the house and her son clearly demonstrated that she was a very competent individual. She listened to everyone’s advice and immediately made a decision.

“I plan to take my son and move away from Province Wen. This isn’t going to work in a long run. I am better off leaving with my child. I’ll relocate to a more remote place. He will have a hard time finding me anytime soon.” The big sister had been backed into a corner by her ex-husband. She’d rather take her son with her and go somewhere else rather than staying behind.

Shu Yan dazed a little when she heard the voice. It took her a little while to figure out that it was the older woman who had helped her in City Han in the past.

Shu Yan hadn’t seen her again since the second time that they ran into each other. After that, Shu Yan had stopped running her shop and stopped going to City Han. Naturally, she would not run into her anymore.

When Shu Yan exchanged her number with the big sister, the big sister had mentioned that her shop was about to move to a new location and she didn’t have the phone installed yet. Shu Yan left her number with her and told the big sister to call her up if she ever needed any help. She wasn’t sure whether the big sister never needed any help or had completely forgotten about her. She had never given Shu Yan a call.

Shu Yan started making a cake after she had washed her hands. She knew how to make basic ones from the past and had also paid for some classes a while back. She could successfully make a cake now.

Shu Yan went to take a bath after the cake was ready. She applied some nice makeup, pulled out a box from her drawer and put it inside of her purse and left for Xiazhuang Village with the cake.

The door to the old lady’s house next door was opened. Shu Yan recalled Feng Zeyu telling her that he had bought the place.

She walked over and saw Feng Zeyu there cleaning up a chicken.

“You’ve cleaned the place up? Are you going to stay here from now on?”

The weather started to get cold and the two children had changed into their new uniforms and went to school with light down jackets on top and little boots with the chauffeur.

It was a good school. Ever since the two children had transferred over to Nanshan, the way they acted and talked had changed a lot. Even Shu Yan thought about signing up for some etiquette classes sometime.

Shu Yan didn’t have to leave as early as the children. Ever since she hired Aunty, she hadn’t been getting up as early. She would get up to have breakfast with the children before getting ready to head into work after they had left for school.

When winter came, the fall undergarments and winter sleepwear were particularly popular. Even though their company had, by now, rented the entire building, they were still short-handed.
