Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 90 -  Does she have any reason to stop him from seeing his son? (1)

Cheng Huan’s face suddenly changed colors. She hadn’t expected to run into him here.

She stared at the man long and hard and her emotions roiled inside of her and, finally, she gritted her teeth and said, “Sure.”

After she had said that, the car door opened. The chauffeur walked out and opened up the back door for her.

Cheng Huan got inside of the car and looked straight ahead. She kept her face straight and very distant. Jiang MingYuan gave her a look and finally decided against saying anything.

No words were exchanged the entire way.

The car came to a stopped after a little while outside of a courtyard.

Cheng Huan got out of the car and took a look around her.

It was difficult to imagine that there were such a nice and quiet location in the middle of a bustling city. The courtyard looked to be fairly sizeable from the outside. It was surrounded by tall buildings. Its door was shut tight and a few cypress trees could be seen from the outside.

The chauffeur went up and knocked on the door. The door was opened up shortly. Jiang MingYuan walked up next to Cheng Huan and gave an “after you” gesture.

Cheng Huan remained silent as she walked inside with Jiang MingYuan.

Inside the courtyard was even more quiet and relaxing than the outside. The walls were white and the roof grey. There were paintings on the structure. The cypress trees still looked green even in deep autumn. There was a large pond in the middle of the courtyard and there were still some lotuses remaining inside of it along with a few koi swimming around inside.

It was very serene inside the courtyard with the exception of a little bit of noises from people walking around. The woman who came to door led them inside of the building before she walked back out. The chauffeur did not follow them inside.

The furnishing inside of the house looked retro. There was a screen placed immediately inside of the door that blocked one’s view. Inside was table and chairs with a tea set on top. They looked to be very expensive.

Cheng Huan sat down on the chair. She was in no mood to appreciate all the decors. She asked point blank, “What do you want?”

The corners of her mouth were tilted down when she spoke. She looked straight at Jiang MingYuan and seemed very aggressive.

Her reaction told Jiang MingYuan that she had already figured out who he was.

And, she was not pleased.

That was more or less what he had expected. Jiang MingYuan sighed quietly to himself but didn’t let that show. He pulled out a very well-kept laboratory report and handed it over to Cheng Huan.

Cheng Huan ignored it at first but the man sitting across from her had no intention to take his hand back. She lowered her head and rolled her eyes before she took the document from him.

“What is this?”

Cheng Huan had already saw the title on the document when she asked. She looked even worse. She skipped passed all the technical terms that meant nothing to her and flipped straight to the very last page.

It was listed clearly stated under the result section that “Per DNA analysis, the possibility of identical twins, close relatives, and other contamination notwithstanding, the result support that Jiang MingYuan as the biological father of Jiang XingChen.”

Tsk. He came well prepared.

That infuriated Cheng Huan even more. She even crumpled up a corner of the report. She then looked up at Jiang MingYuan and said sarcastically, “Say, when did Boss Jiang had the opportunity to have this examination performed with my son?”

“I got his hair sample from the kindergarten.” Jiang MingYuan had no intention of hiding that from her. He flipped over one of the porcelain cup, filled it with tea, and put it in front of her. “Many things went through my mind when I found out and I have forgotten to notify you in the rush of having the examination perform. I apologize for that.”

Cheng Huan sneered at him. “That’s very poor memory on your part.”

To her surprise, Jiang MingYuan nodded at her statement and, seemingly agreed with her, said, “You are most certainly right. I am getting old.”

Cheng Huan, “……”
