Title: The Villainess Female Supporting Character Raising Her Bun
Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 92 -  Does she have any reason to stop him from seeing his son? (3)

Cheng Huan lowered her head and didn’t speak. The man sitting across from her was still going on and on. Each sentence coming from him was about the benefits of having him recognize XingXing as his child.

He was a business man and was naturally good with his words. Toward the end, Cheng Huan started to see his points.

She almost nodded in agreement but, luckily, she suddenly remembered the plotline in the story. She recollected herself a little and asked a different question. “Okay, so you are willing to recognize XingXing, but what about your family?”

Cheng Huan smiled. “Wouldn’t they want to fight me over my son too?”

According to the original novel, Mother Jiang wanted to keep the child and kick the female supporting character out. The female supporting character had to pull some stunts later on in order to take her child away from them.

As soon as she said that, Jiang MingYuan went silent for a little bit.

He knew his own mother. If she knew about the existent of XingXing, she would for sure want to take him away.

Except that…

Jiang MingYuan drummed on the table and said slowly, “I won’t let anyone try anything.”

His guarantee carried some weight. In the original novel, Mother Jiang wanted to go after female supporting character after she had ran off with the kid, but male lead stopped her. She was the one who had raised the child, it was only right to keep the child with her.

Once he had made the decision, Mother Jiang did not push the issue. That was also the reason that allowed the female supporting character to delay the time to seek treatment for the child and that the male lead regretted deeply after the death of his child. He felt that he was responsible for the death of his son.

The female lead appeared at this point of the timeline and comforted the male lead’s pain with her tenderness and the two finally ended up together.

All things considered, the male lead was the most innocent one of all. He was a decent father. Even during his busiest times, he’d find time to go visit his son and spend time with him. He’d bring him gifts whenever he went on business trips and they were all hand-picked by him. When he realized that Jiang XingChen was sick, he took the kid to the hospital immediately. It was the original owner’s evil idea and purposefully let the child stayed cold at night that his cold had dragged on and on until it had took a turn for the worse while the male lead was on a business trip and he wasn’t able to be saved in time.

“I understand that Miss Cheng has your concerns and that you don’t want a stranger to intrude into your life all of a sudden. I understand all those concerns.” The man sitting across from her carried on. “But I hope that you too will try to see things from my perspective. As a father, I can’t not have any contact with my son now that I know about him.”

His look was very sincere and didn’t look like he was lying. Cheng Huan wavered again. She lowered her head and mulled over something. Jiang MingYuan did not rush her but let her took her time.

The room was so quiet that one could hear a pin drop. Cheng Huan’s mind was all jumbled up. She thought through the story arc and, the more she thought about it, the less reason she had to stand between the father and son.

Her original thought was that the original owner and the child was an obstacle between the male and female leads and must be removed. But, thinking about it some more the author used the female supporting character to removed that obstacle. Now that she was that female supporting character, naturally she would not purposefully try to get XingXing sick and the means for that to happen had, in effect, been removed.

Meaning that, at the current way that things were going, regardless of whether the male lead recognize XingXing or not, XingXing would not die.

Judging from the male lead’s personality, as long as it didn’t cross his bottom line, even if the female lead couldn’t stand their existence, he would not do anything to his own child.

As such, what more reasons did she have to stand between the two of them?
