Chapter 154 -  He Didn't Want XingXing to be Disappointed in Him (3)

Anywhere with people there will be shops. There were a lot of storefronts along the stretch of the beach. Jiang MingYuan followed Cheng Huan into the first one. This shop that was right next to the beach was not very big but their items were comprehensive. They have clothing, sun umbrellas, rattan chairs, shades… everything that one could think of, they have. Cheng Huan walked around inside and saw that they even have a barbeque rack.

The shop was very small and there were only very limited selections of clothing. Cheng Huan picked one that wasn’t too colorful and pulled out the one that was Jiang MingYuan’s size. “Do you want to try it on?”

“We have a changing room inside. You can try anything that you like.” The shop owner came over when he saw them changing.

Jiang MingYuan took the two items from Cheng Huan, his lips shut tightly. XingXing was already rushing him on the side. He sighed to himself and finally walked toward the dressing room.

The door to the dressing room closed but re-opened quickly.

Jiang MingYuan, who had changed into a short sleeve tee and beach shorts, walked out from inside the dressing room.

He seemed very unaccustomed to these types of outfits and he frowned the entire time. Even his steps were skeptical. He closed the door and walked in front of the two of them. He asked hesitantly, “…what do you think?”

Jiang MingYuan had on a round neck tee. It was somewhat tight and his build was obvious through it. His pectoris and abdominal muscles could all be seen and made one wanted to reach out and touch.

Contrary to the tee, the beach shorts were of the loose type. The legs part was wide and went down to just above his knees. The base color was military green, going from dark to light with a stripped pattern on top. Not everyone could look good in something like this. A shorter person would appear even shorter in them. Jiang MingYuan, however, was quite tall with shapely calves. The shorts complemented him nicely.

Cheng Huan looked him up and down a few times then she stood up on her tip toes and put the shades that she had been holding in her hands on him. She took a step back and said, “Looks good.”

These outfit could easily give someone the feeling of being sleezy or being a player. Nevertheless, Jiang MingYuan’s cold aura neutralized that nicely. With the shades on, he looked more like a gangster.

Jiang MingYuan didn’t believe her and he was not used to wear shades. Adjusted it some, he frowned even more. “Really?”

“Of course. You can ask your son.” Cheng Huan turned and asked XingXing who was standing next to her. “What do you think, baby?”

XingXing was in his little beach shorts that looked similar to what his father had on. With his shades and hat and his hand under his chin, he looked quite cool.

The glasses on him was somewhat large and kept sliding downward. XingXing did not adjust it with his hand. He lifted up his head and pushed his lips out as though to encourage his nose. He looked at his father back and forth out of the corner of his eyes and finally nodded. “Yep! Looks very nice!”

He nodded a bit too much and his shades slid further down his nose bridge. With the shades now hanging on the tip of his nose, he looked comical.

If both of them said so, Jiang MingYuan had no choice but to put up with it even if he felt awkward about the outfit.

The set was not expensive. Two pieces with shades and beach sandals came out to be 400 yuan. Cheng Huan had already paid for them in advance. After they had paid for the clothes, they went to pick up sun umbrella and beach loungers.

The umbrellas and the loungers were both very big in size so they were placed outside of the shop. There were quite a few selections. One could choose to buy or rent them. The boss provided them with very good service. Anything that Cheng Huan was interested in, he’d give her an introduction.

XingXing wasn’t interested in those. He wanted to go play in the sand. He grumbled beneath his breath restlessly. Cheng Huan could read his mind. She didn’t even look up but waved her hand and said, “Have your dad take you to go play.”

“Yay! Thank you, Mommy!” XingXing bounced up in joy and started dragging Jiang MingYuan with him.

Jiang MingYuan held his son’s hand but didn’t move. “You don’t need my help here?”

“Don’t worry, young man. Just take your kid to go play. We will bring these over once you’ve made your decision.” The shop owner, standing to one side, explained quickly. Unfortunately, his effort was not appreciated by his customer. Jiang MingYuan didn’t even look over at him.

Cheng Huan looked up and smiled at Jiang MingYuan. “You take XingXing to go play. I’ll let you know if I need help.”

“Alright.” The man finally nodded and walked toward the beach while holding XingXing’s hand.

The set that Cheng Huan picked included an umbrella, three loungers, and a large glass table. Rent was 300 yuan a day. The boss even threw in complimentary lemon water after they have the equipment has been placed.

The sun over beach felt like it would dry someone up and became very unpleasant quickly. Cheng Huan hid under the umbrella after it was placed and felt that she was revived. She lounged on the lounger and took a sip of the lemon water. Only after she had let out a long sigh of comfort when she decided to go look for the father and son.
