XingXing had a good sense of danger. KunKin, one of his classmates, said that his mother ran off with another uncle and then he did not have a mother anymore. XingXing did not want to be a motherless child so he stood up courageously.
“We are going home with Daddy!” The little boy thrusted out his chest like a cock in battle. He hrumphed and said, “We are not leaving with you.”
XingXing’s words made the man feel embarrassed. He was fond of Cheng Huan since he had seen her on the beach and had wanted to ask her out but had failed repeatedly. “He’s the one whom I’ve helped taken pictures of before.” Cheng Huan didn’t have much of a good impression of Yao Tan so she didn’t want to say too much and just wanted to gloss over the subject. Unfortunately, she had forgotten about the little traitor standing next to her.
XingXing was still worried that his mother would run off with someone else. Now that he saw his dad, of course he was going to report up to him. Bouncing in front of Cheng Huan, he looked like a little angry chicken and ratted his mother out. “That uncle asked Mommy for her phone number!”
“Oh?” Jiang MingYuan gave an incomprehensive sound and his face dropped almost unnoticeably. He recalled what that man looked like and also recalled that not-so-good desire hidden in his eyes. He felt that he had a good reason now and felt more confident.
“His has ulterior motive. You want to avoid him.”
“I know. Don’t worry.” Cheng Huan wasn’t a child. Of course she could see that as well. She waved her hand and said something very reassuring. “The number I gave him belonged to the shop next door.”

He was speechless all of a sudden. Should he praise her intelligence or ask why she could recall the number to the shop next to her by heart. After a long silence, he finally mustered up a “Good then.” But he felt happier.
The chauffeur was already waiting for them. The three of them got inside the car and headed toward Cheng Huan’s place.
On their way back, Cheng Huan had them stopped at the agricultural market. She was going to shop on her own but XingXing was bored in the car and wanted to go with. If XingXing was going, Jiang MingYuan had a reason to tag along as well.
This being the first time the three of them going to the agricultural market together, there still weren’t any of romance or warm atmosphere among them.
There were meats, fruits, and vegetables inside of the agricultural market. All of their fragrances mixed together and, after an entire day, was even more pungent than before. XingXing had already covered up his nose. Jiang MingYuan, too, was frowned. Cheng Huan didn’t like the smell either but she didn’t have much of a choice.
“Their items here are fresher than at the supermarket.”
She was the cook so what could the other two say? The family of three purchased everything that they need in the shortest time possible and walked back to the car with Jiang MingYuan carrying everything. The chauffeur was so shocked that his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
Once they were home, Cheng Huan started preparing dinner while the father and son cleaned the house. It was very harmonious.
On the other end, Li KangYi confirmed one last time with a server that he had grown to be familiar with. “Are you sure that your boss will here tomorrow?”
“Yes, I am sure. Why would I lie to you?” The server who had been pestered this entire time was also starting to get irritable. This was the sixth times that he asked. Somewhat hesitant, he asked, “Why are you looking for our boss?”
Li KangYi was well prepared to fend this question. He didn’t even blink when he said, “I am planning on a reunion and there are a few individuals that I wasn’t able to get ahold of. Your boss’s name is the same as my classmate so I want to see if they are the same person.”
