Chapter 219 - I won't regret. (2)

This was Cheng Huan’s first time walking inside of this room. Much like Jiang MingYuan, even his bedroom’s décor was cold. The only colors were black, white, and grey. It looked worse than a hotel room.

After walking inside of the room and closing the door behind them, Jiang MingYuan brought Cheng Huan into the bathroom in the same way. Leaving her on one side, he started to brush his teeth.

Standing to one side, Cheng Huan felt that she had turned into one of his favorite decors. He wouldn’t let her out of his sight and would glance over at her from time to time even when he was washing his face.

After Jiang MingYuan was done with washing up, he started taking off his clothes for his shower. He unbuttoned his shirt’s cuffs with one hand and placed the cuff links to one side. After he had taken off his suit and tossed away his tie, he moved onto his shirt.

The buttons on his shirt were undone one by one and his clavicles and his well-defined pectoral muscles could be seen. Below that was his neat abdominal muscles along with the mermaid lines that disappeared into his pants.

The pure white shirt fell onto the floor and Cheng Huan gulped. She stopped herself from reaching out and stroking him. Looking away, she cleared her throat and her voice a little frantic. “I will be outside.”

After she had said that, she quickly dashed out of the bathroom before the man could respond. Closing the door behind her, she leaned against it and let out a big sigh.

“I’m heading out. You should go to bed after your shower.” She said to the blurry silhouette. She then ran out of the apartment as though someone was chasing after her.

The other person was already gone from the bathroom and even her footsteps were getting further and further away. Jiang MingYuan stopped what he was doing and stared at the door for a long, long time before he looked away, chuckled, and carried on with what he was doing.

He was drunk, just wasn’t as bad as Qi Shan had thought. He was still somewhat conscious when Cheng Huan came over. He merely took advantage of the alcohol to do what he had been wanting to do but was being a coward.

Looked like it had worked very well.

Jiang MingYuan continued to stand under the water. He lifted his head up and let the water hit his face directly. He was, after all, a little drunk and his control for his body was not as good as normal. Some water got into his trachea inadvertently and he started coughing violently. As he was coughing, the smile on him deepened.

Cheng Huan, on the other hand, was kept awake from what had just happened. Everything was all jumbled in her head and, as soon as she closed her eyes, all sort of images would flood her brain. It had all sorts of contents. One second it was their wedding and the next it was the two of them in a fight.

Cheng Huan spent the night watching the movie all the way till it was daytime. Her alarm went off and she sat up in bed with her hand over her forehead. She felt dizzy and lied back down. She pulled the blanket back over herself and tried to go back to sleep.

Probably because of how tired she was, Cheng Huan truly fell asleep this time. She was in such a deep sleep that not even the knocking on the door was able to wake her up.

XingXing was up early and found the house quiet. Not only were there nobody talking, there also wasn’t the familiar aroma of food.

With his little slippers on his feet, he walked over to the kitchen to check it out. After he was certain that there was no food, he walked back to the master bedroom and was about to open up the door and walk inside.

The moment the little boy’s hand touched the door handle, something occurred to him. He mimicked his father and formed a fist with his hand and knocked on the door three times.

He did not get a response from inside. XingXing waited for a little and knocked again before he pushed open the door and walked inside.

The bed inside the master bedroom was quite big. As soon as he had pushed open the door, XingXing could see a big lump in the middle of the bed. He walked over and climbed into the bed. He was finally able to find half of his mom’s face hidden under the blanket. He stuck his head over and called out to her softly a few times. He gave up when he failed to wake her. Climbing back down from the bed, he walked out of the bedroom and closed the door behind him lightly.
