“Pardon us.” Now that they were done fighting, Mrs. Liu felt somewhat embarrassed and said to Cheng Huan, “We all like different food and can never see eye to eye when we eat out.”

Lao Liu, sitting next to her, snickered.

That was, after all, someone else’s family business and Cheng Huan didn’t want to comment on it. She just smiled at them.

“It certainly is.” Lao Liu missed his days when he was in the military a lot so he happily shared his past with them. I stood guard for three months when I first stationed on the island. I was there from night to dawn. It was incredibly beautiful when the sun rise! At dawn, there would be a touch of a light gold color where the ocean and the sky met. The color would then grow darker and darker until the sun was up and made the ocean turn a golden color looking like a pearl rising out of the water.”

There were two airports in City C. One was built 30 years ago and the other a year ago. Cheng Huan, Jiang MingYuan and XingXing were heading over to the older one. It wasn’t too far from the center of the city and just a 20-minute car ride over.

Once they’ve arrived at the airport, they only had 40 or so minutes to get their boarding passes and check their luggage. As the first-class passengers had their own dedicated passageway, they had time left after all were said and done.

After all the fiasco, Cheng Huan checked the time again and it was already 4:40 PM. Their flight left at 6:10 PM. There wasn’t a lot of time left. Cheng Huan had spent so much time teaching XingXing a lesson that she hasn’t even brushed her hair and changed herself.
