Chapter 205 - "Madam is waiting for you in the office." (3)

Jiang MingYuan kept to his words and brought the kiddo with him after breakfast the next day. The chauffeur was aware of their relationship and wasn’t too surprised by it. All of his employees, however, were shocked when they saw their boss walked in with a little boy in his hand who looked a lot like him.

Gossips was the fastest travelling thing in the world. Almost everybody in the headquarter building found out that the boss had a son in just half a day. There were a lot of speculations as to who it was who had claimed this impossible man.

XingXing, as one of the persons being discussed, had no idea about any of those. After spending half a day in the office, he had already developed dislike toward the concept of going to work.

“Daddy, you can’t leave at all?” Sitting on the couch nearby with his true love superman toy, he looked at his father with compassion in his eyes.

His daddy could only stay at the same place the entire time, just like in class. How boring was that?

“Hmm? Does XingXing want to go somewhere?” Jiang MingYuan looked up from his documents. He knew that he would have XingXing with him today so he did not arrange for any meetings and spent half of his day in his office. He also knew that XingXing only had so much patience and figured that he would want to go play somewhere else so he said to him, “Daddy will take you out when he is done here shortly.”

“It’s alright, Daddy. You take care of your work. I will play here by myself.” XingXing waved his chubby little hand and was very docile.

In the little kiddo’s mind, Daddy was pretty pitiful already. He couldn’t possibly become more of a burden to him.

Even though that was what XingXing had said, Jiang MingYuan still took her son to the 10thfloor after lunch.

The Jiang’s had a reputation in the industry of having good benefits. The headquarter alone had set aside two whole floors for rest and relaxation of the employees. The amenities included theater, gym, indoor basketball court, swimming pool, and arcade dancing machines, etc.

Inside the gym, there were dozens of individual rooms with punching bags, specifically meant for stress release for the employees. When one was in a particularly bad mood or being overstressed, one could always go into one of these rooms, take out all of their aggressive, and walk out a new person.

Naturally, Jiang MingYuan would not take his son to a punching bag nor could he take him to the arcade. As far as he was aware, kids do not have a lot of resistance toward things like that. He worried that his son would get hooked if he took him to one. Thinking through all of the amenities, Jiang MingYuan finally picked the theater.

The theater wasn’t very big. It could hold up to perhaps 10 or so people. The couches were wide and spacious. There were single- and double-seated ones. They could also choose their own movie, ranging from romance to horror.

Jiang MingYuan picked an animation that was raved about, one that has a similar plot to Little Tadpole Looking for Its Mother. There were some fantasy elements with humans turning into demons midway through and finally, the protagonist, using their wit, was able to save the humans who had been demonized and led up out of the city.

As it was a children’s film, the movie wasn’t very long. Perhaps just a little over an hour. The entire movie was fast-paced and the sceneries were pretty. There weren’t a lot of scary scenes; even the demons were pretty. XingXing was very indulged into it and still had his arms wrapped around Jiang MingYuan asking him whether Duoduo had found his parents in the end.

Part two of this animiation was not out yet and Duoduo, the protagonist, was still on their way to looking for their parent. Nobody knew whether the author would decide to come up with something crazy and other obstacles would appear on the protagonist path of seeking for their parents.

Jiang MingYuan, with XingXing in his arm, debated between truth or lie for less than half a second and nodded definitively. “Yes, they did.”

XingXing was pleased from hearing that. He felt resentful after he was done being happy. “Duoduo was so stupid. How did they lose their daddy and mommy?”

He thrusted his little chest outward and said proudly, “That will never happen to me!”

“XingXing is the smartest,” said Jiang MingYuan with a smile as they walked out of the theater. He saw Chi Shan waiting for him outside.

His assistant had a troubled look on him. Walking over to Jiang MingYuan, he whispered to him, “Madam is here. She’s waiting for you inside of your office.”
